Yeah, that sounds just a little bit sensational. The Ukrainians have been striking targets in Crimea with storm shadow missiles for a while now and WW3 hasnt broken out yet so I highly doubt it will over a bridge. This will just result in another attempted cruise missile strike thatll most likely be largely stopped by Ukrainian AD.

Apparently, in addition to the warehouses the Ukrainians eliminated about 12 officers and over 170 mercenaries in the same series of Storm Shadow strikes, and also secured a town on the frontlines that risks destabilizing Russia's forward positions in the area.

The Ukrainians have now resumed the process of clearing the northern Russian flank around Bakhmut.

They're really keeping the Russians guessing where they're going to strike next and we haven't even seen the big mechanized assaults yet that we saw in Kharkiv and Kherson, but it looks like the Ukrainians are still shaping the battlefield at this stage of the counteroffensive; probing defenses, destroying concentrations of supplies and personnel, eliminating grey zones between them and the Russian defenses, things like that.

They're doing all this along the entire front so the Russians are forced to spread themselves thin to defend all the areas under attack while the Ukrainians are more than capable of deploying their reserves strategically across the entire frontline.

Theres more information in this video about that HIMARS strike on the concentration of Russian forces that resulted in over 200 casualties.

Yeah, those numbers seem...embellished, to say the least.

If there were that many Russian casualties already that means the Ukrainians are mopping the floor with their main defenses. They're still 10s of kilometers away from the main defenses in areas with the most movement though.

If they were inflicting casualties like that where they are close to the main defenses (like south of Lobkove) I feel like there would be some kind of major breakthrough in that area.

Yeah, the fires are really bad everywhere. I was sent a wildfire map a few days ago that shows how much smoke is in the air.

Looks like most provinces are getting at least a thin layer of smoke, but yeah, BC and Alberta are really bad right now. So is Quebec, not quite as bad as last week but still pretty bad.

I haven't seen it this bad in my life.

The smoke from Quebec was choking out my city for a few days, its better now but its also about to rain so the smoke has been replaced with high humidity.
