Has anyone else noticed the John Wick style aiming when shooting a ganado who is close to you

Just finished the game and I loved it. Final play time was around 15-16 hours which is around the same time as my OG RE4 initial playthrough.

There's so much to talk about so I'll just give my overall thoughts. I'll put it all in one big spoiler tag.

IMO I think the village and castle were vastly improved over the original with the island being roughly the same.

The quality of life improvements were well needed. The auto-sort function of the inventory made me smile from ear to ear - I spent far too much time in the OG organising my case! The fact that enemy drops don't disappear after a time (as well as marking missed drops on the map) was also a welcome addition.

I loved the fact that they expanded the lake area allowing an element of non-linear exploration.

Regenerators were a scary presence as ever - and I loved that some turned into an Iron Maiden upon death - "You cuddly bastard"

The good points of the game appear to be talked to death in this topic so I'll just point out a few minor flaws I found.

Maybe it's me but I found the initial garridor battle underwhelming. I killed it very quickly without any stealth needed. If you shot him in the OG, he knew exactly where you were and after he recovered he charged at you. That didn't seem to happen in this game, he writhed in pain a bit then forgot where I was.

Ada was flat as everyone has mentioned. I don't tend to pick up on these things, but I noticed it immediately which means the VA/direction must be bad.

There's probably another couple of minor flaws I'm forgetting, but aside from that it is a top tier game which at least matches, if not surpasses the originally. However I have yet to put it to the longevity test yet, so this could change.

Onto the platinum which I'm looking forward to.

Personally I don't think many (if any) games from PS3 era onwards are justified in being remade as I don't think graphics/gameplay has advanced enough to make too much of a difference to the overall experience. I could pick up a PS3 game now and the controls wouldn't feel out of place.

If you look at how much of a leap there was between PS1 and PS2 and likewise from PS2 to PS3, then compare that to, say, original Dead Space and the remake, its like night and day.

So yes 6 years between RE1 and Remake is the equivalent to 20+ years in this era

What are the differences?

Also are you still enjoying Theatrhythm? The demo was awesome.

Yeah I was talking all remakes (not ports). So if it stays at 94 it will be the same as Zelda 3D which I'm not sure if it is a remake or port. Was it remade from ground up?

Final Fantasy Type 0 is something I've always wanted to play.

Also Ridge Racer being on here reminds me that Gran Turismo 2 could be an option in the future. GT2 with trophy support would be amazing!

I don't do DLC so I haven't played Shadows of Rose but I'm glad I'm not missing out on much

Plat #110 - Gran Turismo 7

I got all bar 1 of the trophies in the month it released last year. The last one was around grinding for money plus you needed to buy 3 cars which are part of roulette system meaning you needed to check each day to see if the car you need is available to buy and I couldn't be bothered at the time.

The plat itself was fairly straightforward. Most challenging trophy was probably getting gold in all licenses but there were only 2 or 3 that required much dedication. Whilst increased difficulty over GT6 it was nowhere near the difficulty of GT5 platinum

I've got this on pre-order. Whilst I don't usually do demos, after scanning some of the responses in here it's got me excited to play it. It is currently downloading and I'll be giving it a go in an hour or 2
