A lot of people saying RDR2, and even though I don't really care for playing it, I can at least appreciate the vast amount of work that went into and the game's attention to detail, animations, etc. From a technical perspective it's super impressive so at least it has that going for it.

For the Witcher 3, I literally didn't even understand the appeal for those who did enjoy it. Nothing about it seems particularly well done

Same, I played a bit of 2 but not enough to where Id notice a difference. Would you recommend it in this case TC or are the originals still better?

• Takes about 5 hours worth of content and stretches it to almost 40 by making you do the same shit over and over again
• The repeat playthrough differences are so minor that theyre not even worth suffering through for the story. Automata handled this so much better.
• Subjective, but the story didnt do much for me. It was like a rough draft of Automatas story, but without the thematic and philosophical elements that make it interesting.
• The combat is pretty bland and repetitive, and you can cheese nearly any enemy by throwing a single spear to knock them down and then using the finishing blow. When youre on your third playthrough, youll be doing this even if its repetitive just to speed things up
• Theres like 100 side quests, and maybe 10 worth doing. Most of them are just fetch quests, and/or send you across the entire map multiple times. I know its supposed to be a parody of other games, but its hardly a parody when youre just doing the same thing.

I really liked Automata, and Im glad I played that first because I would have never given it a chance had I suffered through this first. I should have stopped after the first ending, but I figured oh the next one will put everything into perspective and reform my entire opinion on the game! but bo, each one made me hate the game more. But, to give the game some credit, the music is phenomenal and the English voiceover is great, excluding Emil. I also really like Kain, she was the highlight of this game.

Sad but you can hardly blame the teacher in this scenario

It's the first Zelda game I beat. Only actually beat one other (botw). It was fun, it was probably tied to the ds gimmicks a little too much but I enjoyed it enough.

Thats how I feel, they went overboard with it. Like using the the touchscreen to draw a path for the moving platform youre on to follow is a cool idea. But for moving in general? Not so much. And dont get me started on whenever I have to use the mic

I liked it too. There werent many of them, but I think Majoras Mask had the most complex dungeons out of the entire series. People saying they were bad probably just thought they were too hard lol

Yeah the stylus controls are annoying but honestly you get used to them, and sometimes even forget about them which is when theyre at their best lmao

Im digging the characters, The fairy actually has personality and Linebeck is annoying in a good way. The mermaid cosplayer that goes to meet up with the old creepy guy looking for her because shes into older guys was pretty funny too.

The game has some pretty cool ideas, the boss of the third temple that I just beat is invisible but you see his first person view as he chases you on the top screen and use that to line up your shot. I liked that.

The sailing is more simple than WW but theres still lots to do like fishing and salvaging which are pretty fun and I think the touch mini games are more interesting than most other DS games. I also like how much stuff there is to collect other than just pieces of heart. Finding different parts to customize the appearance of your ship is nice and way more interesting imo, theres more potential for surprise whenever you open a chest or get a reward.

Having to revisit the ocean temple thing is annoying, but I just suffered though Nier Replicant so this pales in comparison to the amount of tedious and boring repetition that game forces you through, so Im a bit more forgiving of this haha.

My other main complaint is that the puzzles have been too simple and repetitive so far. Hopefully that changes as I get into the later dungeons though. But yeah, its probably because my expectations were so low but this game definitely is pretty good. Maybe mediocre for a Zelda title but still enjoying it more than most games Ive played recently.

tbh Ive never played the n64 games but the island themed board looks like they just ripped the assets from the island fruit board on Super Mario Party glad its actually good and that thats not the only reason they included it lmao

only 5 boards is pretty lame though, considering theyre not even new

Dragon Ball is my favorite of those 3, but the original Z has not aged well. The slow pace can be unbearable. When I rewatch it, I just check out moments or particular episodes. One Piece I just don't like, so I'll have to say Naruto.

Im not opposed to watching abridged, should I just do that or is it still too slow?

I honestly don't think Gamefreak is capable of making a good looking game in 3D. I'm surprised Nintendo doesn't have like Monolith or someone helping out with this game. I think the game itself looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, but it also shows that they don't really know how to use the Switch hardware.

I bet Nintendo would love to cut GameFreak out of the picture entirely, because any of their first party development teams could do such a better job and Nintendo surely knows it. Unfortunately, there's probably not much Nintendo can do about it with their limited ownership of the franchise.
