Just like how Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is basically Yakuza with the setting and cast of FotNS, I want a sci-fi Yakuza where you play as Spike Spiegel.

Civ Revolution and Civ VI are on Android. There's an open source Civ1 clone called Freeciv too. There's also Birth of the Empires, a copyrights-filed-off clone of Star Trek: Birth of the Federation.

Or if you want TBS, there's XCOM: Enemy WIthin, Open X-COM (the original), and several excellent games by Wavelight Games.

Also Tropico, one of the few 'builder' franchises to have a proper game as its mobile version, and not just 'wait 72 real hours or pay a fiver' like Dungeon Keeper, Sim City, Theme Park and so many other disappointments.

I feel bad for Jodie Whittaker that, as the Doctor under his leadership, she's likely going to bear a lot of the blame for series 11-13's shortcomings.

I thought that Jodie/Thirteen was generally well liked, it's just the stories she's in that are pretty rubbish. I expect she'll be remembered like Eight- a good Doctor who didn't get a chance to live up to their potential (and hopefully fully redeemed by Big Finish in a few years).

Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files: Chance Meeting of Two Detectives

Actually, I don't know if it's any good as I haven't played it yet, but after someone convinced me to read some of Case Closed, this game led me to discover Kindaichi Case Files, which is (IMO) a much better detective manga.

I'm still waiting for a decent moment to build a new PC, so I expect the current one will remain un-upgraded and the new one will probably come with 11 from the start.

The only feature I'm aware of is that it will supposedly be able to run Android apps, which I do find very interesting. Fingers crossed it works well.

I know nothing about it, but some friends at the FLGS were voicing their unhappiness about it last week. Something to do with GW banning fanworks then getting into a "who owns what" argument with one of their content creators when he threatened to take his work and leave unless they reversed the policy.

Not wild about the graphical style or the apparent age of the cast, but in terms of character they look fine. But I may be biased because Nina seems like a pretty good match for how I always picture/customise the Boss anyway (well, if she dyed her hair bright purple).

Speaking of which, I hope we still have a customisable protagonist rather than an ensemble of characters to switch between. And that Laura Bailey is a voice option.

I like the idea of a pseudo-remake of SR1, except the plot gets crashed by time travelling aliens trying to kill Playa before he/she becomes the Boss/President, and then the future Saints show up to a) keep you alive, and b) prepare Earth's defenses for Zinyak's arrival.

I haven't finished it (only found a copy recently), but I like it so far. The only thing that bugs me about it is that it feels weird to base logic puzzles around obviously made up and arbitrary 'rules of magic', especially when new rules are suddenly revealed all the time.

It just kind of breaks the immersion that you're solving a mystery rather than solving a deliberately constructed puzzle.

Did I get the weird stylised title right? I can't be bothered to check.

Anyhoo. Fairly standard gacha, literally plays itself for the most part if you want it to, and the only real challenge is working out how to spend all the myriad resources efficiently.

But it's a NieR game, which means nice scenery, incredible music, and an intriguingly bleak storyline. It seems the whole thing revolves around the weapon stories that the Drakenier franchise is known for, with each chapter having you reveal the four parts of one weapon's history, along with the intertwined stories of their former owners.

I have a theory about what's really going on that's probably wrong, but my initial guess is that The Cage is really the server on the moon, holding a record of the fall of humanity, and the Girl is some sort of record integrity checking program restoring corrupted data. And Mama is probably really a virus, because Yoko Taro.

I haven't made much story progress yet because I've been grinding the Automata crossover event. I've got 2B and A2 now, just a few more runs to get 9S.
