Cute. There's easier ways to say you're entitled and have no fucking idea how office jobs work. Sure I only *worked* 3, maybe 4 hours out of an 8 hour shift, but depending on what you do theres a lot of downtime. I quoted prototype PCB's for clients and it can be a several week or month process, playing with numbers, tweaking build materials, sourcing parts, contacting board houses etc. And you seldom get immediate answers, there's a lot of back and forth and waiting.
But when you secure a $15m contract with the Royal Australian Navy for control modules on submarine targeting systems, the boss gives literally no shits that I was reading comic books half the day.

People who dont work white collar office jobs dont realize how much of an act it is. So much is placed on how many hours you are there. Ive had jobs I could easily get all my work done in 4 hours a day but would spend 10-12 hours a day in the office for appearances.

and i should note that this topic ISNT putting down those with white collar jobs, only those who act like their work is so much harder and more important than anyone elses, especially actual labor

I do know this piece and all of Bach's Cello suites very well.
You killed it, dude, the only real critique I could make would be you got a little excited at the runs at about the 34 second period. But that really doesn't matter.

Have you tried the Prelude?

Also, it is worth noting that Bach wrote that when the Cello was in its infancy.
As I recall, he happened to have a player that he knew could pull it off so he wrote these pieces.
I think at the time it was more of a Cello de gamba. At the time it wasn't particularly normal for an instrument to be played solo, and have parts effectively accompanying themselves.

Bach was mind-blowingly ahead of his time.
You have to remember, he lived and died before Beethoven and Mozart were even born.

Thanks man! I hear what you mean with getting excited lol. I learned the whole suite, but this movement is the one I worked to audition-status.

If memory serves, cellos were somewhat different and more gamba-like, and the 6th Suite actually is believed to have been written for a 5-string cello that would make it easier to play higher notes. Solo instrumental music was pretty well established with violins anyway, but he really innovated for the cello (even though these pieces werent played much because he didnt publish them widely lol).

Yeah, Bach was definitely pretty astounding, and even more astounding is that he was relatively unknown in his time. In one sense I think he did belong in his time, because he really defined the Baroque period, where Mozart later went on to do so with Classical.
