Pure armor stat wise the Hyrule set from the Lookout Landing shop is easy to get to 2* upgrade and will probably be your best armor set until you find all the rare shit to upgrade the armor with set bonuses. I'm finding armor extremely frustrating. The cooler armor can't be upgraded at all which fucking sucks. I got the Don't worry about getting good weapons early thanks to the dura system.
