Star Trek: Into Darkness > Star Trek (reboot) >>>>>>> Star Trek: Beyond. And in absolute sense, the first 2 movies are very good in general, not only just in comparison with Beyond.

Brosnan is the best Bond (but except for Goldeneye his movies are bad).

The Beatles are extremely overrated.

D.

I am cursed with large feet, so the cross section of shoes that fit me and not look atrocious is not very large. There are only 2-3 brands that I like and they typically sell in the 200-300 EURO range, which is my max for shoes.

-4^2 actually means (-4)^2 because -4 is treated a single integer.

Absolutely false. You cannot just add or remove brackets in a mathematical equation since it can complete change (as this case shows) the outcome.

If you want the integer (-4) squared, use the brackets.

If you actually "know" math, you know that this is conventionally -16, but is nevertheless ambiguous, as this topic highlights. Given your black and white view of things, I assume you're studying to be an engineer?

Please explain the ambiguousness of the question. As it is stated, there is exactly 1 possible answer. Don't confuse the lack of people understanding the question with the question being ambiguous.

And you are right, I have studied to become an engineer, but that is irrelevant since this is actually high school level math.

So it seems that people who are getting -16 is viewing this as if they are saying -(4^2) . Why would do that, and not view this as just -4 sq .

(-4)^2 = 16
-4^2 = -(4^2) = -16

There is absolute nothing ambiguous about the equation being asked, so just apply your basic math. If OP actually meant -4 sq, he should have written (-4)^2. If you actually know math, there is absolute NOTHING ambiguous about it and there is only 1 way to answer the equation.
