Do characters have a specific list of items they will display in their house or is it more like they will display any item they like and once they have a certain amount they will stop displaying them. Or do they keep rotating items to display that you give them once a limit is hit

Lol. Sometimes you have a bad start where you're just surrounded and get your shit pushed in. The key is to eliminate them ASAP. Churn out warriors and slingers and hunt down every nearby barb. Possibly try to settle near city states. Higher difficulties are all about defense in early game and pulling ahead of other civs in late game
