It's true. They say that western countries are all the same with the same values but if you look closely, that's not exactly true...

Take public school uniforms for example which is actually adopted AND mandatory in all westernized countries except the United States and Canada.

Places like the UK, Australia..all of Europe, they all have mandatory uniforms that students must wear.

The key difference between the US and Canada now is that the US is more STRICT in what students can and can't wear.

the US punishes students who break the rules and have a lot more in their rulebook in what kids can or can't wear.

Canada however is more lenient and although some don't approve of low cut outfits for girls, many have eliminated that and allowed kids to wear anything they want within small reason.

Also, students in America can't colour their hair..whereas students in Canada are allowed to.

Do you think public schools should have mandatory uniforms? let's see what people think

Here's an example of what female students in Canada can wear but girls in America CAN'T.

What the fuck are you talking about? I went through public school k-12 and there were plenty of girls in short shorts with multicolored hair. There isn't a national standard for anything in terms of dress code in the US.

Where do you even come from that you would think this? Were you homeschooled?

Think about the anti-vaccine, anti-gmo, organic food, natural news nonsense. Most of the people that eat that shit up are on the left.

Back when Bush was president a lot of people on the left, especially in Europe, believed that the US government did 9/11

How is "organic food" a conspiracy? People don't like pesticides being in their food.

Anti-vax and anti-gmo are hardly left wing, I personally know righties just in my family who are irrationally against both of those things. Anti-gmo is probably more left than right but you still have plenty of righties who think that "them GMO eggheads are playin' God"

The government doing 9/11 is definitely more of a lefty thing though, I'll give you that. Also the russian collusion thing.

How is it a big step for you to see that being all about organic food for no scientific reason is just as irrational than being anti-vax or anti-gmo? They are different branches of the same tree.

This always baffles me. The people who only shop at whole foods and sprouts because they have an irrational fear of most food in this country and then say something like "I can't believe people on the right just ignore all the science about global warming". I just want to scream "you are the same fucking type as them you just believe a different set of irrational unscientific shit because you happen to have left wing politics and they happen to have right wing politics".

I get why you would have that perception given the current politics in the US but it really hasn't been a long term trend in US politics.

Back during the Cold War there were indeed right wing conspiracy theorists (John Birch society) but the left also indulged in conspiracy theories partly fueled by the Russians even back then (Pravda pushed loads of conspiracy theories that have spread in the US).

Today?

Think about the anti-vaccine, anti-gmo, organic food, natural news nonsense. Most of the people that eat that shit up are on the left.

Back when Bush was president a lot of people on the left, especially in Europe, believed that the US government did 9/11 because the idea of Muslim terrorists committing this terrible act was something they really really didn't want to believe.... so they didn't. Their tolerance lead them to believe in a conspiracy theory because the fake version of history fit a lot better with their overall world view than the real version.

Then there are African Americans. Black people overwhelmingly vote left wing and are a hell of lot more likely to believe in conspiracy theories as a result of feeling marginalized in society and past events. Aids conspiracies as an example.

They are banned in a lot of the Denver metro area but not the state of Colorado which leaves some wiggle room. Someone may do a longer commute if they really want to keep their Pit Bull and they really want to live near Denver.

In Colorado we call this Blucifer legend says it fell on and killed the man that created it before being set upright next to the Denver International Airport. It is a bright blue veiny monstrocity with glowing red eyes that shine at night and it sits at the only entrance/exit to DIA.

It is 32 feet tall.

You're insane if you don't think the United States military would fracture in a civil war scenario. What happened to the liberal stereotype of soldiers being dumbass rednecks?

A huge portion of the infantry are dumbass rednecks. I say that as someone that spent four years active duty in the Army. The infantry are a lot whiter, more southern, and more likely to be hillbilly gun nuts in general than the rest of the military. Black people are more likely to join the military to move their lives forward and less likely to volunteer run into bullets, especially when someone like W. Bush or Trump is president.

I rented it from the grocery store (that used to be a thing) when I was a kid and I thought it was great.

I miss that. My Mom would leave me and my sister in the little rental shop each weekend when shopping for groceries and on the way out we'd get games and movies.

All animals die. In nature animals die from predators killing them and they die of starvation in the absence of predators. The natural course for animals in the wild is not to just live a long full life absent of hunger, fear, or pain.
