| AdviceMan 10/09/19 2:46:52 PM #254 | I believe the police report in question because it lines up with that the attorney said about him and the fact that he thought he was the target of a failed murder earlier before this case. If the police had reported this and this new report, I would completely understand the skepticism, but this information comes from a reputable source who would have no reason to slander his name. People will not be afraid for their life unless they have a reason to be afraid for their life which meant he had enemies. The simplest reason why someone would have enemies willing to kill them is because of drugs/money, at least, living in Chicago that's what I would think if someone said that to me. While there was a possibility that it was the police, the possibility was remote. It's also not like we have a TON of examples of cops being punished in the first place, and even fewer examples of cops retaliating against witness with murder in recent years. The premium version helps with more specific things like passive voice overuse, and non-inclusive wording. However, it is not perfect, and should not be mistaken as some sort of catch-all. With typical SE shine, they're obviously not skipping out on putting money into this game. There's a fundamental difference is offering very little content, breaking it up into multiple parts, and then selling each part for full price, and massively expanding content, breaking that content into full-game size parts, and then selling each part for full price. This isn't to say it might not be a disaster. It definitely COULD be a disaster. But if Part I is good, I will get Part II. If Part II is good, I will get part III. This is how MOST consumers think when they purchase a product. There will be people who won't get Part I because it's part I, but most people will get it because it's FFVII. So Square Enix's goal is to make sure part I is epic. Even the people who don't want to get it will be swayed if the review scores, whether user or critic are highly positive. You think you're looking at the big picture, but really, you're just putting the wagon before the horse. The people that got banned were people who were so displeased that someone was complaining about something so where that they had to tell them to stop complaining. Now, I think the forum rules are pretty sensitive, but those rules have existed forever on the forum. If you're gonna post on that forum you should know that someone saying "this is racist" and you saying "you're just concern trolling you sjw" or some variation of that will get you banned. Resetera is basically a safe space. You can disagree, but you gotta be respectful. I don't understand why people are so upset that other people have safe spaces. If you watch CNN and repeat what "political" pundits say, you might think you know about politics. If you read enough Vox articles, you might think you know something about politics. Chemistry is different because there is no substanstive pop or weak version of it. There isn't a mainstream show with people sharing shallow positions on chemistry for people to absorb. So people know they don't know anything about chemistry. I know more about politics than most of my friends, but less than anyone who takes politics seriously, and certainly less than anyone who has gotten more than a BA.
