I've only been there through several cruises so my experiences are merely based on the shenanigans happening at port. I've heard a lot of great things about all inclusive but haven't experienced it myself.

What I can tell you though is the ports are often overpriced junk that falls apart about 20 minutes after you board the ship. And it is peddled by people who make the overly aggressive makeup sales person in the middle of the mall seem tame. Excursions are often a lot of fun though, just check the reviews for what you're doing.

Too far. Bahamas is closer for me.
