It was actually COD Ghosts for me. I got it at midnight when it first came out and I played it all the time. I was one of the few people that actually liked that game.

But the reason I'm fond of the memories is because I was in a state of deep depression at the time - I literally didn't leave my house for weeks at a time. I wasn't in school at the time nor was I working. I pretty much would stay up until 5am everyday playing it. I guess why I'm so fond of it is because it helped me get through my depression. It was an escape from reality, if that makes any sense.

Some days I almost wish I was back in those days again. Not the depression part. Just being alone and playing that game like I was.

I'm 26 and still live at home. But I have a serious heart disease and I'm in heart failure so I can't work. I still get really self conscious about it though. Like people obviously talk about me.

As someone who has multiple heart conditions, I'm so fucked.

What did I miss

It's kind of depressing to think about how fast it burned out. EVERYONE was playing it at one point. Great memories with that game.

I remember going on drives late at night with friends and slowly driving in parking lots catching Pokémon.

I've never had more fun playing a game like I did with that. I don't even play anymore :( I lost interest a little bit before they implemented the raid battles.

You can't have a good discussion without people posting anything they can for upvotes.

BO3. I actually didn't mind the exo movements in it.

BO2 and Ghosts were definitely better. But, BO3 was infinitely better than advanced warfare and infinite warfare.

I think they still them food stamps just because. I don't believe there's physical food stamps anymore. Everything is loaded on an EBT card.

I'm pretty sure hot food is one of the few exclusions. You can purchase a cold sandwich but not a hot one. Doesn't really make sense. You're allowed to buy an Italian sub but not a meatball sub. I don't get that.

At least the stores near me and the one I used to work at were mostly teenagers/college kids. We had a few middle aged ladies but that was it. The older workers were managers or butchers.

I've seen people use food stamps to buy loose cigarettes. You can buy anything with a ebt card it just depends on the store. What they ring you up for doesn't have to be what they give you, so stores in the hood abuse it.

From my understanding, an EBT card has 2 options to pay - your cash balance and food stamps. People that are on welfare that get cash assistance get it on the same card food stamps are on. So an EBT card is essentially a debit card if you get cash assistance. Meaning you can buy whatever.

If you're an adult working as a cashier, sure. But considering most cashiers at grocery stores are teenagers... not really.

I worked as a cashier at a grocery store in high school/some college and one time this morbidly obese middle aged white girl told her friend "get whatever you want, it's on me!" Their total came to around $250 - all consisting of candy, soda, store made cakes, donuts, chips, chocolate, and store made cold pizzas. As well as actual groceries such as steak, crab legs and a bunch of frozen food. All of it was covered with her food stamps.

But for every 1 person that abuses it, there's like 20 who actually need and use it right. Can't really single out the minority for the entire program.

I once saw a dude buy about 20 2 liters of orange soda with food stamps.

Actually, that's more about "who the fuck buys 20 bottles of orange soda" than about food stamps.

Lmao I've actually seen that. My store had this one guy come in every week at the same time and always purchase 20 of the same lean cuisine. Every single week. Never said a word. Just always purchased the same lean cuisine. All power to him... but wouldn't you get sick of it after a while? I assume he was eating that 3x a day

That was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. My heart genuinely hurts. There are some sick ass people in the world.

I always get their frozen pizzas and they're so good but there aren't any restaurants near me :(
