How could you possibly determine whether someone is a straight-up loser solely by their means of getting laid? You can make lots of money from a job you enjoy, be highly respected, healthy, happy, and overall doing well in life but still be so ugly that you have to pay for sex. Basically, my point is that he said a lot of edgy shit about numerous topics. Why are the trans jokes the only ones receiving any real attention? Even if you found them tasteless, can the same not be said of other jokes he made throughout the special?

For me, that's where it gets grey. Is it transphobic to think transness is sort of surreal by its very nature, but still not take any issue with it nor promote animosity towards it? Thinking something has an element of strangeness to it isn't necessarily the same as thinking it's bad.

I don't think this whole situation is the best use of peoples energy, but it does kinda show how little progress we're making when we still have popular comedians perpetuating negative stereotypes at a crucial time when we need to be shedding those beliefs

I think the reality is that Dave finds transitioning to be a fundamentally funny concept. He doesn't appear to hold ill will towards it, but he thinks it's inherently surreal that people actually get surgery and stuff to become more like the opposite sex.

I have a lot of nostalgia for Dragon Ball, but lets be real: the series in general aint that great. The storytelling is clumsy and riddled with plot holes/inconsistencies/retcons, and most of the characters are just depressing wastes of potential. The action is exciting at times, but not nearly enough to ignore the shortcomings. Most of us like Dragon Ball because we have a soft spot for it, from growing up with it. Theres comfort in the familiar.

Sometimes it is not significant to change a story to account for people who go "well when you think really hard about it..."

Sometimes shit is perfectly amazeballs as is and there's no benefit to fuck it up by overemphasizing supreme minute logic airtightness.

Plot holes are shortcomings, even if you don't always mind them. It is ideal to create a compelling story that also makes sense.
