Love the state, but Im getting tired of living in a state represented by asshats like Ted Cruz who dont represent their own constituents. Am currently here in LA on vacation. Second time Ive been here the last few years. Weather is way better, the food is just as good, its more scenic, and there are hotter women here in California. Plus everyones moving to Texas, driving up the housing market. Buying a home in Texas is quickly becoming unattainable. Californias losing residents like crazymaybe all those nice SoCal homes will drop in value as everyone leaves the state. Sure, fires arent much fun to fuck around with. But neither are constant hurricane threats and a shitty power grid ran by dumbasses who dont even care to fix it. Honestly, if you can afford the cost of living then do it...just moved to San Diego a year ago and I highly recommend it. --- If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world-J. Like I grew up well off and it as a result, my parents substantially supported my college tuition and I was able to graduate debt free. Am I extremely privileged because of this, absolutely. But my parents didn't get me a job so it isn't nepotism. I know quite a lot of people who have successful lives without nepotism, across various levels of privilege.
