Can learn complex language, but if it doesn't receive appropriate input before age 10 (approx) that's no longer possible. Imprinting of certain sound profiles seems to happen at a young age, famously someone raised in a Japanese language environment can't distinguish between the L&R sounds. (Don't feel superior, Anglophones can't distinguish the different R sounds in French, or the clicks of the Pacific islanders). So maybe?
