Don't even need to revoke the 2nd amendment. Just need the supreme court to remember there's more to it than just "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Don't think that will happen any time soon and they may decide that arms means more than just guns (I know a few people who unironically argue that people should be able to own nuclear warheads under the 2nd amendment).

It's difficult to get an even shape when shaping by hand. I use the weight of the dough to shape it (I press most of the dough to the rim and let the weight of the dough get it to size as I turn it). If certain parts are heavier, they'll pull more, which is what happened. Could have corrected it, but didn't care enough to do so.

This was today's. Made our own pizza sauce from the san marzano style tomatoes we grew in our garden this past summer. Still while wheat sourdough.

I was between a piplup and a chimchar. A turtwig would probably be better than both. I usually start with a water Pokemon, but they're fairly common. Don't think I've ever started with a grass type. It's always been water or fire.

The Wisconsin state legislature already passed such a bill making it illegal in almost every situation. The governor, who will likely be out the door next year, vetoed it. It'll probably be fully banned here in 2023

Seems pretty clear the founders of this country wanted everyone to have a gun without restrictions. No other interpretations are possible.

And not making pizza today (we already did our Thanksgiving). Going to be on Sunday, like normal.

Scrooged. And technically Die Hard is a Christmas movie but I don't consider it a must see at Christmas. Heck, I always watched it and the other 2 in the summer. These are must see Christmas movies to me.

I get tired of seeing most everyone on this site saying their favorite Christmas movie is Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, and Batman Returns and saying most of the ones I mentioned are dull and boring.

So the die hard for kids movies are must see Christmas movies, but not die hard itself?

Actually looks nasty because of the dough being as thick as it is.
At least there is no pooling.

It's actually pretty thin except for the rim. It's a Neapolitan style crust, so it has a puffy rim. The rim also has a lot of air pockets.

CPAP mask wipes are also pretty handy. I use them each morning (except the one day each week I clean all of it).

The CPAP (though I actually have an APAP--it has a set range and auto adjusts as needed during the night) is well worth it. Took awhile to find a mask that worked well, though.

A couple of the posts here reminded me that i get to pay to rent the same $500 CPAP machine for the 3rd time. The first time they had me pay $50 per month for 10 months because I hadn't hit my deductable yet. The second time was when my company switched health insurance providers, so they made me pay $50 per month for another 10 months since I found out my first health insurance provider didn't do a rent to own. I'm assuming when my company changes health insurance providers yet again either next year or the year after, that I'll have to pay another $50 per month for 10 more months, making the $500 CPAP cost me $1,500. Should have just bought one online and skipped the health insurance. Would have been a lot cheaper.

Probably normal. Every cat is different. One of my cats almost never meows and we've had her for a little over 3 years. Our other cat practically doesn't stop meowing.

I think its ok to ask for some kind of reasonable ID when people vote, just as long as it can be anything of a reasonable nature that is a photo ID that identifies them as the actual person registered to vote.

But the right gives the game away when they do things like pass legislation that recognizes NRA membership cards as valid voter ID but bars things like Student IDs from counting

and really if some people just dont have an ID because they lost it or just on fucking hard times, they get to do a provisional vote, but conservatives spend untold amounts of money and counter messaging to try to keep people from knowing about things like that

My state passed a voter id law and then started closing down places where people can get a free id for the purposes of voting. The majority of the places closed just happened to be in areas more likely to vote for a certain party's candidates. They still can obtain those ids, there just located in areas that are much further away with poor access to public transportation. But hey, at least hunting licenses are completely valid as a form of id (but not the ids from my state's university system).

This is false. The law says 16 and 17 yo can carry riffles while under supervision for hunting purposes, which doesn't seem to apply to this case. So the gun charge may stick.

The prosecution did bring this up. Whether or not he was hunting on the streets. Either way, the judge wanted until this coming Monday to determine the original intention of the lawmakers based on either hunting education or licensing.

Wait... I thought the law was that nobody under 18 can legally carry a firearm in WI. Is that not actually the case?

Also, isn't there a video of Rittenhouse before the incident where he was talking about wanting to shoot a black man who was minding his own business? Did that turn out to not be him? I can't actually find the video anywhere.

The wording of the law suggests that anyone under 18 cannot possess a dangerous weapon, but the judge said it's unclear if the original lawmakers really intended that when they passed the law.

The judge already said that as things currently are, he's not dropping the weapons charge as Kyle was still illegally carrying a weapon. Granted, that'd probably be a different trial entirely (at least, that's what I assume, I might be wrong). But in any case, the judge did make the statement that he's not dropping that charge.

The judge recently said that he needs time to clarify what the original lawmakers intended when they passed that law. There is still a chance he dismisses the possession charge.

Looks like there's a chance that the possession charge will be dropped once the judge decided whether or not the original lawmakers intended to allow 16 and 17 year olds to carry guns (but not other weapons, such as nunchucks). There's also a decent chance that the judge declares a mistrial with prejudice based on things the prosecution has said.

Most people have the money and insurance for those things, they just don't want to, they want other people to do it for them. It actually irritates me. I come from a family that would feel hugely embarrassed to take a handout like that.

Most people likely would feel embarrassed by that. It's a huge expense and few people realize how big of an expense it really is until it happens. My family had to deal with two funerals within a short period of time. Had the nursing home billed earlier that last month, we wouldn't have been able to afford it unless we went through probate to recoup the money several months later.

Not guilty on all charges except possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, guilty of that, $10k fine, 9 months (max sentence), minus time served.

You would be fooling yourself to think he'd get any punishment. I'm assuming it'll be a "boys will be boys. Let's not ruin his future over a regrettable incident" sort of thing.

OK, so obviously you haven't read shit. That's a need, way different from a luxurious want. Jesus Christ, it's like you people can't read for shit and just shit talk because of your own frustrations.

If you want to get technical, no one actually needs food. Food is one way, but not the only, to get the needed nutrients into one's body, so it's a want because there are other means through which to get that done. Since we should make sure needs are covered, but not wants, food shouldn't be covered.
