Afterbirth+ added Hush (actually he might be Afterbirth) and Delirium are so painful and Delirium has some of the worst inescapable damage I tried Isaac for a while when Wrath of the Lamb came out and just couldn't get into it after like 10 runs. I picked up Repentance and now I have ~150 hours and LOVE it. I know that they nerfed a lot of ways to get overpowered, but I love all of the item synergies and interactions. I remember reading that before Repentance hard mode was just what people ran all the time, and Repentance made hard mode legitimately nasty, and a lot of people were upset they couldn't do runs on hard mode regularly anymore. I've only touched hard mode for some of the unlocks so far. |
