He did what every mildly popular comedian from the late 90's did - he got old and started a podcast.

I mean all I have to say at this point is that you can try to reason with these morons who say that unvaxxed people deserve the lion's share of treatment in opposition to a known shock jock - just one who isn't a senseless Trumper maniac at every fucking turn - but you're not going to get through to them.

Ultimately you have one shock jock saying "get vaccinated and stop clogging up the hospitals for the people who can't choose the severity of their illness", and despite him otherwise being an opportunistic pig, that's certainly a take I can get behind. These stupid motherfuckers rallied behind some fuckfaces who told them the vaccine magnetises their blood by sticking spoons to their skin. We've seen dumb fucks burning down 5G towers because they thought 5th generation wireless internet was spreading the virus. And you can go "that's in bad faith and poor taste, no-one was legitimately stupid enough to think that wireless internet was a vector of disease", but conspiracy theorists don't get the benefit of the doubt - especially after the fact that people went out and began demolishing 5G towers as a supposed strike against COVID. Those dickheads fucking exist in the world we live in. That happened.

Guess what, because myself and others got the vaccine and associated boosters, we have less of a chance of dying of COVID. It's not a guarantee, which I'd very much like it to be, but it's less of a chance of having my lungs fill with mucus until I suffocate. The virus still puts me at more risk of heart attack, stroke and brain bleed, but compared to an unvaxxed person, I have less of a chance of COVID-induced heart attack, stroke or brain bleed. If you want to believe the vaccine turns you into a magnet, and you want to die in agony and deny a pregnant person or a heart attack victim the medical care they need because you were too much of a dumb fuck to protect yourself? Fuck you, and any "freedom" you spend time shilling about is selfish and pointless. Go and join a commune for dumb fucks who don't want to be turned into magnets. Don't fucking gum up the medical system for people who want/need to participate in society.

"ohhhh hand-wring hand-wring Howard Stern said I should die!" - no, he said if you're enough of a dumb fuck to refuse treatment and clog up hospitals for people who need it through your own selfishness and arrogance, you might as well die. We all know it's for selfish and stupid reasons. We know it's because these dumb fucks think it'll turn them into a magnet. We've seen the videos where people paint this awful kidnap fantasy where their children are abducted because abductors hid their abductions using COVID masks. We've seen people burning down 5G towers. Even a dumbass fucking shock jock knows when to say when enough's enough - Howard Stern isn't a fucking leftist hero or whatever the fuck these deluded morons seem to think, he's an opinionated dickhead who says provocative shit because it's funny and he thinks it cuts to the heart of the matter whether he's right or wrong.

You want prime healthcare without getting a tube shoved down your throat and going brain-dead? Get vaccinated, motherfucker. And shut the fuck up about other people not respecting you or your choices, because if you're going to fall for 4th grade-level magic tricks that convince you a vaccine is going to turn you into a magnet, you should barely fucking be trusted to choose what you have for lunch. People have heart attacks, people have babies - they're not selfish for requiring urgent care. You, as an individual who could have mitigated the harm of a PANDEMIC-LEVEL VIRUS WE'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH FOR TWO ENTIRE-ASS YEARS, are selfish for refusing to protect yourself. Fuck what you think, fuck what you think are your rights but are really power moves to make people bend to your idiocy. Howard Stern is right in this scenario. If you won't saveguard yourself against a virus that can and will kill you - stop fucking things up for the rest of us, you selfish fuckface.

I have noticed a few observations from the course of this thread

1) False Dichotomies or/and Fallacy of Composition's are being committed...........why are some posters in this thread making out that every single person who has not been vaccinated, is the raving lunatic kind who are conspiracy believers, deny that covid even exists, and are full on anti-vaxxers. People that are against vaccines, drugs and medicines in general. There's plenty of people out there who just chose not to be vaccinated, simply because they dont feel the drug is safe yet, but concede that covid exists, and respect other peoples choices.

2) Positions of the goalposts are now shifting. During the course of this thread, why have we gone from, having to argue against what Howard Stern said, which was "all those who didnt get vaccinated, should not be treated in hospital, they should just go home and die" to...... "so what about if all the ICU units in hospitals are too over populated with covid sufferers who didnt get vaccinated, but there's many who need to be treated who did?". That was not Howard Sterns stance was it?.

I think people are now posing hypothetical situations across that probably arnt even happening. I think hospitals bacilly work like this.............someone goes to hospital or gets taken to hospital because they need to be treated for something and they get treated for it. Thats the role of a hospital. I dont think there is a selection process at all. I dont think someone goes to hospital with covid, and some judge in the hospital goes "well you didnt get vaccinated, sorry we aint gonna treat you, this should be for those who got vaccinated". Someone else in this thread posed "well there is a selection process that goes on with organ transplants, there arnt enough organs to treat every person who needs a transplant. Obviously the process is, you give it to the person who essentially needs it the most. You give it to the person who wont live to see another 2 calendar months without it, over the person who can live without the transplant, but they just wont be as healthy without the transplant.

I dont think there is a selection process that goes like "Well patient A is a teetotaler, so he will look after the liver transplant better than patient B, who isnt a teetotaler". Or "well patient A is a non smoker, so he will look after his lung transplant better than patient B who is a smoker".

RIP.
Bat out of Hell is his big hit, you hear meatloaf and Bat out of Hell is his signature song.

Paradise by the Dashboard Light is one of his lengthy epic songs in a similar vein to I'd Do Anything For Love. Much more of a retro 60's rockabilly vibe, like taking your best squeeze down to the malt shop and sharing a milkshake with her. Just with more fucking.

Two Outta Three Ain't Bad is the closest you're gonna get to a traditional ballad from him.

God, I wanna say "fuck you" but I know you're just the messenger. I'm fucking upset by this, even if he was a COVID supporter and possibly a Trumper in his last years.

I spent a lot of my young adulthood cranking out Meat Loaf songs at karaoke. My go-to was Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, which is as annoying and long as you'd imagine. Shit would leave me hoarse as fuck, but I LOVED it.

Jim Steinman was a total fucking loss. I'm sad that he and Meat Loaf could never quite reconcile. But Meat Loaf is the face of the band. He's the fucking guy people think of, you know?

He'd had heart conditions for a while, and he's collapsed on stage a few times in the past few years. His voice had degraded because he refused to treat vocal polyps - I don't think he knew how to actually sing, preferring to sing from the throat. But fuck me, I loved this man's music.

The worst part for me is the time I spent with people I don't speak to anymore, where my appreciation of his music was a real sticking point. I don't need them trying to make contact now. I just want to mourn with this bottle of rum and consider the karaoke possibilities when COVID stops fucking my nation in the ass.

For all that was right and wrong about Michael Faraday, he was a great source of entertainment for me and I had a great and genuine appreciation for him. His absence will truly be felt by this drunken motherfucker thousands of miles away from where he lived and died. RIP, you conflicting yet magnificent son of a bitch.

Because the alternative is that you badger her and muddle up her thoughts until she gives in and stays with you, which breeds resentment and ruins your relationship down the line. At that point, you should keep your mind open - give her space and iterate that you're there if she needs you and that you care, but understand that short of a miracle, your relationship will probably have to end there.

With that being said, as young people, we have different goals and priorities that aren't the most stable. Today we're happy, tomorrow we see incentive to see even more happiness down another road. People are going to take the other road because what if everything it promises is true? And sometimes that means leaving stability behind.

I don't think any of us are immune to it, just that our priorities are different. Do you break another person's heart because this new job in a new town and the potential for growth is theoretically endless? Do you pursue a new romantic relationship because they make you feel better and you see more of a future with them? Or do you settle with what feels good right now and risk regretting it later?

And from there, it gets even more messy and complicated. I'm drunk, I don't want to get into this shit. But I think that's why. As young people - with that label stretching into your mid-30's as far as I'm concerned - the world is truly our oyster and our priorities change as fast as our minds do. It's only with age, personal understanding and life experience that we find what's truly important to us. So sometimes you get into a relationship that you want to make work even though you're not as happy with as you'd like. Sometimes you think about everything you have to offer, and what the world offers in return. And sometimes, you weigh what you have with what you might have in the future. The future usually wins.

So basically:

I'd recommend seeing a prostitute if it was legal in your neck of the woods. It isn't just getting there and banging, a good escort spends time talking to you and building you up. Prostitution isn't just "I have a vagina, we fuck now for money", it's a service job where you're paying for time and a lady gives both affirmation to things you like about yourself and - if you're down - sex with her. It's a service job.

I heard a talking point a while back that some may consider to be very lefty - there is no such thing as unskilled labor. Prostitution is one aspect, but even flipping burgers or shoveling shit is skilled labor that deserves fair compensation, legal protection and respect. Not everyone knows how to change a spark plug, you as a mechanic deserve fair compensation, legal acknowledgement and respect for the work as you do. Prostitution requires both physical and interpersonal skills. Food handling requires stringent hygeine standards, skill and speed. There is no such thing as unskilled labor.

Unless you're a crypto-bro, in which case all you take up are resources to game the system.

I was always a sensitive kid, so of course I got into like really romantic music - lots of pining, lots of idealitization of romantic hallmarks. Of course I understand relationships are a lot more complicated than "two really compatible people are interested in each other".

But man even today some of my favorite songs are by like Sara Bareilles or the Weepies - the former of which has a song all about pining where the chorus is about dying and being bled dry, only for the narrator to say that they'd still come back 1000 times, and the latter of which has a song where the chorus is "you turn me into somebody loved".

Had my heart broken really bad recently, but it was my friend that brought the hammer down, not the girl who got with him. So that was particularly traumatic and drew on more than just any sort of romantic rejection. Otherwise my last crush was shaping up to be the one where I finally grew up and moved past shit.

If you want any of that pathetic love shit (affectionate) I've got some picks as far as music goes. I'm also one sixpack in and I'm about to start on the rum.

Tea bigger than coffee there?
Nah, morning tea is basically second breakfast. I sit down for 15 minutes, eat, talk and stretch. It's basically like supper, but for breakfast.

"Tea" is also a euphemism for dinner in your really rural areas. "What's for tea?" is synonymous with "what's for dinner?". The only people actually having tea are either old people, who are fair enough in doing so, and assholes like Scott Morrison and other blue blood fuckfaces who were brought up in the lap of luxury.

I do have a comment to tie this all back to the main topic of chocolatey cereal. We have a brand of cereal in Australia called Coco Pops, where the slogan is "just like a chocolate milkshake, only crunchy".

I feel like we're seeing a big 70's comeback lately. Dua Lipa's most recent album was very disco, and corduroy came back in a big way. Though I might be biased on that last part because I have a corduroy jacket I love to pieces and wear every chance I get.

I'm also hearing shitty Boney M remixes on the radio, which is like why play that garbage when you could play the original single version which is better, but man I'll take Rasputin however I can get it.

Not only do they have Hexen, they have the company that made it, Raven Software.
They had Raven Software making Call of Duty games, and they recently laid off a bunch of QA testers from the company after promising a new pay structure for months on end. The were legit calling each tester in one at a time and telling them they were being terminated, with their last day slated to be January 28.

Imagine being so fucking cold that you'd promise people better pay for months before firing them.

Nah, I'll play it if the frame rate gets better. Duel Links is better.

The only two things that mitigate that bad stuff for me is alcohol and obsessively levelling terrain in Minecraft. And frankly, both of them have their drawbacks.

As far as fixing the problem, I couldn't tell you. Problems just play out and I try to weather them. As far as mitigating whatever harm those problems can cause, I can only wholeheartedly suggest video games.

Nah, unformed Pokegods that would later become refined into the beings we know is kinda cool. And frankly, I prefer Palkia as a centaur than as Pink Godzilla.

I liked Sword for what it was. I always enjoy a grind, and they released that shiny dungeon adventure and I'd grind for hours just trying to get a shiny galerian Stunfisk.
Man I got one of those without trying. It was the only legit shiny I ever got, I had a shiny Pidgey in a 386 Pokemon romhack that I got legit but I tend to discount it because even though the Shiny modifiers weren't affected by the hack, it was still a romhack. And before that, I accidentally KO'd a shiny Houndour in Pokemon Crystal as a kid.

So for my first legit shiny to be fucking Galarian Stunfisk? Felt like a kick in the taint.
