But the video you mentioned (or at least a similar one) was included in the stock art. Whats funny is all those tests are created via the exact same program. Something called Articulate. I just took a test from Amazon, I left them pretty bad feedback as it was a waste of 45 minutes and completely unrelated to the job. sounds like a cushy job where you don't have to know what the fuck you're even doing. Well the problem is this, apparently theres some kind of US standards and practices to those tests. Especially when they cover things like OSHA violations and fraud and stuff, but even with the lesser things like harassment and disability. If its grossly incorrect, even if the company signs off on it, the government could come down on you. Depending on the circumstances, you could even face legal repercussions. Imagine if you conveyed the wrong info to new hires and something horrible happened as a result of your carelessness? That alone makes me nervous. Theres other things too you gotta be aware of. Like, The stock art I used on a small sexual harassment excerpt, had an ironically large chested woman on it. I caught it at the very last second before I turned it in, but from what Ive researched on instructional design, all that stuff can come back to bite you. --- If you die in Canada, do you die in real life?

This lesson will teach you about sexual harassment and what to do if you spot someone being harassed Anyway apparently its a subcategory of graphic design that I never knew existed. Okay so my degree is in graphic design (not instructional design) but a famous bank, who will remain nameless, called me on my phone after having spotted my resume from an old position I had applied to over a year ago, and offered me a gig as an instructional designer if I could create some sample tests. They said they desperately need the position filled by next week. At first I thought it was fake, until they emailed me from that particular banks domain name. They asked me how much I wanted a year, I gave them a quote, they laughed and said that was far lower than they were expecting. And said it pays $90,000 a year. I explained again that Im not an instructional designer, just a regular old graphic designer: they asked (more like begged) me to turn in some sample tests. Anyway long story short: Basically I spent all day learning a new program, all night creating sample tests, turned them in, and then decided this wasnt the career path for me. Its very very tedious. And surprisingly stressful. Also as annoying as those tests are to take, theyre even worse to create. Right now Im a comic artist and freelance designer, and even though Im not rich, its enjoyable, steady work.
