Ive never seen or heard anyone talk about Waffle Crisp since I was like 5 years old or younger. I almost forget entirely it ever existed but I def remembered the bizarre commercials where the grannies are after their cereal.

Just looked up the Wikipedia page; apparently it was around for 22 years - introduced 1996, discontinued 2018. Must've become a regional thing or something early on. Weird

They caught my attention at the store immediately because their small size and orangish skin gave them the appearance of the apples I used to see next to my grandpa's tree as a kid that had fallen off before fully growing and went bad, but I figured since they all looked the same that just meant they'll have more character. Got home and sliced one up - the flesh inside was rose-red! Their texture's kinda so-so but they have this sweet, tangy flavor with berry undertones that's so unlike any other apple I've had.

Tried a good 15-20 different varieties since November & I think this is my top 5 so far:
5. Pink Lady
4. Braeburn
3. Granny smith
2. Lucy glo
1. Pazazz

Only played it on Wii U but its really good. Was initially really disappointed when I first saw the reveal trailer bc I wanted a more open 3D Mario like the first two but I ended up enjoying it way more than Odyssey & now its probably my second favorite next to 64.
