I didn't catch if it said pre or post op but they were randomly assigned gender identity including being biologically cis and cis presenting but just had a non-binary they/them identity and that was enough to "reduce attractiveness"

I'm just saying there's definitely a social conditioning aspect to it. I'm sure if you repeated the experiment and randomly threw in "voted for Trump" that would also cause a rating adjustment depending on the political orientation of the viewer.

Ok I won't deny a social conditioning might have happened, however they are still traits that people who are born a certain sex will keep when transitioning like jawlines or an adam's apple. And while hormones do affect the voice, it doesn't sound exactly the same. Obviously many trans people are still attractive, but this topic referred specifically to genitalia preference. I mean I was called transphobic and racist on grindr because I just never answered to one trans and one black person. There are times where I feel "phobic" is used at ridiculous times.

Before the 17th century there wasnt even a concept of childhood, what we consider children today were introduced to adulthood at an early age through labor and sexual exploitation.

Someone back then might just have easily said, infantilizing people when their 7 years old will just make them vulnerable 12 year olds.

Dude. You are talking about people that did not reach puberty. I am talking about people who are currently able to make adult decisions in their real world.

Right but as I was trying to illustrate earlier by bringing up the 1880 consent laws, you only think raising the adult age higher than 18 seems ridiculously overprotective because of the time and place we exist in. In 1880 someone may just the same have balked at raising AOC above age 12.

Personally, I think the law will eventually catch up with the science as it has done for centuries they used to think of adolescents as adults which is absurd and similarly in the future theyll look back at our notion of adulthood as absurd.

The science never said you are unable to make adult decisions until you are 25. It just said you are more likely to make a decision based on emotions before that.

I mean you are giving examples out of kids that did not reach puberty compared to people who stopped growing. To an extent I migh understand why some people might think 21 might be more reasonable, but 25 is just stupid, you don't need a fully developed pre frontal cortex to start making decisions, you don't magically become a new person the moment you turn 25 and infantilizing people in their early 20s will just make them vulnerable 25 years old.

I just think with the more and more we learn about the brains development and continue to accept more and more that the brain is just as important (far more important, really) as your outward appearance, not to mention the more life expectancy goes up, that its not unreasonable well see the age youre considered an adult legally rise. As weve seen it do so, particularly since the start of the industrial revolution.

(Of course, thats all barring the collapse of civilization.)

I mean, there's tons of 20 years old that are able to live independently. And if brain development is that important for rights. Why isn't brain decline taking into consideration by the "brain is fully developed at 25" crowd? It litterally start to decline in your 30s as well as having a higher chance of health issues.

Beside adult for what? Drinking age? Military age? College age?working age? Debt culture is already horrible as it is waiting for people to be 25 to be able to make adult decisions would be sorm ridiculously overprotective. And honestly the difference between a 22 and a 25 years old is barely noticeable compared to 18 and 15

No and shame on anyone who try to guilt people about having sex with them. Genitalia preference is a thing and is part of sexuality.

Being transphobic would be misgendering them intentionally and promote hate against them. I have seen many comments on Twitter about people saying genitalia preference is transphobic and it's borderline gay conversion therapy rhetoric.
