Long story, but during open enrollment for benefits you have to check a box to get $500 to your HSA and you usually see that money end of January. Had a problem 2 years ago where they claimed I didn't check the box so I had to call them, but eventually I got the money.

So next open enrollment comes around and I'm very careful to check the box. I don't get my money in Jan, but I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait. Finally, I reach out in March and explain and they say they'll pay it out. However, I leave for a new job mid-April. I call another half a dozen or so times and they tell me it's in process, push back the deadline, etc.

About a month ago I got tired of waiting so I contact the DoL and tell them my story. Eventually my ex-company's lawyer responds and they quote the benefits handbook which says if you're terminated they don't fund your HSA. They say they were going to pay out end of April but since I left I get nothing even though I should have been paid end of January and they don't clawback if you leave before the year ends. So because they made a mistake and I took too long to catch their mistake they won't give me what I should have got in January and the DoL won't do shit because I didn't take a print screen in open enrollment showing I checked the box. I have no proof.

I actually kinda liked my ex-employer until this.

they're willing to try new things with the genre, so when a new installment comes out, it never feels dated, and has at least a few good ideas, IMO.

worst - Metal Gear Solid.

even if the gameplay improved with each new installment, the story became exponentially more ridiculous (with the exception of MGS3), to the point where it started feeling like an exaggeration/parody of itself.
