There are so many great tracks in games and it'd be a shame to miss out on a good one. And the music can really help set the mood, whether the plot is important to the game or not. Sometimes once I've beaten a game and am doing another playthrough or going back to find stuff I missed, I'll turn the sound off and listen to something else.
