| BlackDra90n 12/17/21 8:16:29 PM #93 | Outer Wilds (PS4) I vaguely remember Outer Wilds when it first came out. A lot of people liked it but it wasn't really on my radar and I never really looked into it. Then a couple months ago there was a poll on this board about which recent game wow'd you the most and Outer Wilds was the clear winner. I was looking for something to play so I figured I'd try it out. It's definitely a very interesting game. I love the exploration mechanic and overall I thought it was very well done, the way that it's directionless but you gain direction by just playing and exploring. Super cool idea that was executed very well. The DLC was also very well done, it built upon the world without feeling too tacked on, which is always a possibility with stuff like this. Who were the other DLC episodes gonna be btw? Noctis, Aranea, and Lunafreya. I think they took the story beats and turned them into the book. andylt posted... I had a blast playing it, but the development issues are so blindingly obvious even with all the post-release patches. I wonder what could've been if they'd had more time or money or whatever the problem was. Pretty much my exact sentiment. I actually really enjoyed FFXV and find myself wanting to go back into that world every once and a while (which is why I played the Pocket Edition!) so it feels so bleh just thinking about what it could've been. --- |
