She walked out about a month ago. Two weeks later she told me, tears streaming down her face, that she still loved me and wished we could be together. She had tried to kick me out of our apartment before and then told me she wanted me to stay.

When I wanted to talk about what the hell was going on, she flipped and now she's treating me like I'm the devil. I literally just wanted to talk. I was so hurt. It still hurts.

This wasn't the first time she did this either. I'm such an idiot for believing her.

moral of the story is that maybe love isn't real and everyone will eventually hurt you if you let them in.

I knew a girl who was very lackadaisical about it and the concept of safe sex in general.

Of course, she was transgender and couldn't get pregnant, so I can kind of see why she didn't seem to give a shit. She genuinely seemed baffled when I said she shouldn't go raw in anyone, but especially not with anyone who had a uterus. If she had one, she'd be knocked up all the time. And that seems to be the line for a lot of people: if it can affect your bodily autonomy. You don't necessarily have to be affected to care, but if you don't... it's probably because it can't happen to you.

The life of a mangaka is an absolutely debilitating one, especially for those in Jump. The dude lives in constant, agonizing back pain.

I'm wearing a shirt, sweatpants, underwear, and socks. That's what I'm most comfortable in this time of year.

I wasn't paid on pay day.

When I raised this with them they just said that they'd try to get it sorted for the next pay day in a month's time. I left then and there.

Did you eventually get paid?

I've had two jobs where I got hired but quit before the first day. The first was for Walmart and it was because they completely disregarded my availability. I was in college at the time and could work from 3pm-11pm. They scheduled me for 6am-2pm. Their excuse was, "Well, it's almost summer, so you won't have class..." I actually did have a class that summer. Sidenote: would not recommend. That was the most stressful month of my life. Even if the material is brain dead easy, trying to cram three months of it into four weeks is insane.

The second was a place that had already decided to hire me before any kind of interview, wouldn't disclose the name of the business until I got to the interview, and had absolutely scathing reviews online (both as an employer and a business). They also lied about the pay rate.

As for jobs I actually worked: I had a tutoring job through the work study program that ran out of funding a few weeks after I started. Other tutors were claiming too many hours and so the budget, which was supposed to last the entire semester, ran out before spring break. After that, I got another work study job at the university concession stand. That job only existed for about three weeks, of which I only worked weekends, and I leave it off my resume lol

Celebrity dating gossip just makes me depressed. They never last. They get super hot and heavy for a few months, then BOOM breakup.

My GF is the person I'm probably going to marry and I don't think that's true lol. I think there's people in our families we care about way more.

I know people with kids that say their kids are more important than their spouse.

I can understand sympathizing with someone in a terrible relationship, but if this is happening, the victim should focus on getting the fuck out of the abusive relationship rather than trying to get some sex on the side.

And if the abuser finds out about the cheating, the victim is just in that much more danger, making their situation worse.

The idea isn't that they're "getting sex on the side." They're forming a relationship with someone who can help them escape the abuse.

If it's a situation of abuse (say the cheater's spouse hits them, controls them, treats them like garbage, etc.) where they cannot leave, I think it's okay in that situation. It can be a means for them to escape the abuse.

But in almost every other situation? No. I think people who cheat on their partners are the absolute scum of the Earth. It is an absolute black mark on your character. It shows that you are willing, eager even, to hurt the person who cares the most about you in the world. Further, I think unless you show extreme remorse for your actions, you continue to be a garbage human being.

I've had people want me to keep their cheating a secret. I've had people cheat on me. It's a poison on the soul to know these people and I wish them all the worst in life.

To my mom's. Gonna visit for a week. They loved it last time after they got over the shock of the car ride and being in a new place. Mereoleona almost immediately acclimated and was laying on the guest bed within half an hour of getting there. Archie hid in his carrier for several hours, then hid under the bed for like two days. He did eventually start wandering around. He loved to go into my mom's room and explore. He was also thrilled that she had a staircase leading to the bonus room. He ran up and down those bad boys so much.

Willing doesn't mean capable. Wages have stagnated. We are worse off than our parents and the next generation is going to be even worse off than us.

Not to mention caretaker fatigue. Nothing will cause you to HATE your parent like having to constantly care for them. This is also how elder abuse and neglect happens.

Yup. I love my mom, but I am NOT going to be her personal caretaker. I'm also very likely not going to be able to afford to pay for someone else to care for her. There are going to be a lot of people in my situation.

Square-Enix otherwise pretends that the remake characters don't exist (to the point that the FFIII representative in all the crossover stuff is just a generic Onion Knight) so she's probably the only one anyone who didn't explicitly play the remake could have seen.

I haven't played 1-4 or 6 and 9, so those I missed a lot on.
Honestly, a couple I got by accident, for example I misspelled Prompto and got Porom, so. If you wanna deduct points for that, go ahead.
I also got Fang and Cid in FF4 because I got the others named that in the later games.

I think it also gave me Porom for the same reason. I'm curious how you got Refia but none of the other FFIII characters.

Yeah, up in the fine print at the top. I skipped it, but I kinda assumed since there have never been named characters for FFI that it wanted the job titles.

Scored 76% but it was a bit too generous with some of them.

Never played IV or VI, so I only knew a handful of those. Kinda surprised they went with the remake characters for III instead of just Onion Knight, but that would have been too easy. Couldn't remember how to spell the cowboy from VIII or the dude with the glasses from XV. I also never got far in IX, so I legit didn't know half the characters.

I remember renting it from redbox when I first got my PS4 in 2015.

It was okay. Had promise. Shame they couldn't flesh it out more or make a sequel.

Sure, if it's free to the individual like the covid shot. I've never gotten the flu shot cause I can't really afford it (no insurance).

I mean thats a fair question but he sees things I dont or hes schizophrenic or something. He'll stare at nothing for 15 or 20 minutes sometimes but he makes tiny eye and head adjustments as if hes really looking at something.

Also a few minutes after that pic he ran down, jumped on my side table, knocked my phone off and the screeen got smashed. He never messes with my phone unless Im up in his face taking pics but I should have known shit was gonna go down.

*oh shoot actually he ran into my crazy neighbour earlier today in the hallway and she wouldnt stop trying to coax him over or pick him up so maybe he was being on guard. He fucking hates her and her cat. I cant stand her but her cat is fine. maybe he actually was like standing guard in case she came around again.

Hm... sometimes cats are just staring at motes of dust in the air, but sometimes they know things we don't. Wouldn't hurt to be cautious around that neighbor.
