Wearing masks agitates me if I'm already vaccinated. Getting vaccinated was supposed to be my reprieve. I'm so sick of not being able to see other peoples' faces.

I'm wearing a mask now because I'm worried about positive COVID transmission at my office after months of not doing so and it's got under my skin. High Delta rates and the positive cases at work also fucked over my birthday plans, which is even more upsetting.

I bring home around $950 a week and my monthly bills add up to around...$600, I guess? Ish (I calculated this before but things changed since then). Electricity is the most dominant of my bills but it shifts around (sometimes it's my Internet/cable bill that is more expensive, it depends on the month). I don't have to pay for housing itself, just maintaining the monthly expenses, I own the house outright.

I work as a tier I helpdesk jockey.

I can't quit because I need stable income and this job is overpaying me (I think). I've been applying around for more serious IT work (which I've done before) but nothing's really taken shape yet.

I took today off for my birthday but my job dominates my mind because of how unpleasant it makes me that I just spend all my time thinking about it. I haven't done anything fun today at all.

If I wasn't going to get a COVID test later I probably would have just canceled my day off and gone into work. At least that way I wouldn't spend all day speculating what's waiting for me when I return (in a weird way work is a distraction for how unpleasant my job makes me, even though it's doing that job that's driving me up the wall).
