One thing I did notice is that The Matrix is shown without the dull green filter, which might be relevant (Thomas Anderson has been chugging blue pills for so long that the reality of The Matrix has faded into the background and he'a generally seeing things as they are intended, even if he can't shake the feeling something is off).

Normally something like that wouldn't matter but I think here it does mean something.

The thing about age is it isn't as restrictive in the modern era thanks to CGI making it possible to impose an actor's face on a stunt double. If Fishburne's role required action sequences that can be done.

I meant specifically as a provocation against those who would reprimand you for breaking the rules. No other motive than making the enforcers act.

I have a feeling this is going to fall apart. Something about this screams "generic".

Maybe it's just a sign of the times. You can't sell a film on visual effects anymore, everyone can do those sorts of things, it's no longer special. So there's no "pop" to any of it and the actual substance of the trailer feels rote.

The problem is it always feels like a one way street. I spend money on their shit but to them that's the end of any interaction when I typically want them to produce better or do better. They like loyalty (because you keep spending money with them) but don't pay it back well (because that means THEY have to spend money, which is apparently not as okay as when I do).

I think the way it should work is a season is like five episodes long and each episode is only a few minutes.

Every episode opens up with a completely disconnected story (can be literally anything, the randomness of it is part of the appeal) before suddenly the protagonist gets hit in the crotch and starts a chain reaction of more groin shots.

Flair is the epitome of showmanship over ring work. He was a draw, no question, but he wasn't prone to putting on thrilling matches.

Even Steve Austin said something to the extent of Flair being well past his good years and this was in the 90s (and he even punctuated it by saying it had been that way for a "long time", implying it goes back further than the present day of the time).

His promos are alright, even though a lot of them are about acting like a raucous nutjob (but hey, it sells) but I've never reflected on a Flair match with "Wow, that is one for the books."

I say this because I think I was technically sexually harassed as a child. Some older kid exposed himself to me and a couple of other kids during a day camp but looking back...eh.

I think I'm more troubled by the fact my father got enraged that I wouldn't explain what happened when he confronted me about it so he could pass along the details to the camp organizers. I got my ass beat over that even though he had otherwise stopped doing that by that point in my life.

Cheap, maybe, but you still have to weigh it against your financial situation and decide if you have enough wiggle room for the possibility of something going awry.

You still need to pay bills, for instance (and not just on the apartment - stuff like car insurance matters too).
