Topic	Parents of CE, how do/did you afford daycare?
Romulox28 09/02/21 2:56:30 PM #16	we pay like $900 a month for one kid to go to daycare for 3 days a week, with the grandparents watching her the other 2 days. we have another baby due in january so effectively that $900 will be doubled once baby #2 is old enough to send to daycare & my wife is back to work. we looked into the options and we did not really have any choice other than daycare. the grandparents still work so they cant babysit full time and it didnt make sense for my wife to quit her job since she gets a decent salary & quitting the workforce would set her back when she is ready to re-enter. as for how people afford it, i think a lot of people are just resigned to being daycare-poor for a few years until they can send their kids to pre-k. sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do. with daycare at least there is an end in sight and the prices drop a little bit as the kids get older --- https://imgur.com/LhwwG
