I played through as Fane and had some fun, but it's one of those games that would probably be better on a second playthrough (not unlike FO:NV's Dead Money), as you can better navigate the annoying stretches and just know what to expect. Got ambushed and AoE'd so often, in every chapter/act, I basically save scummed all the way through and used cheesy methods to defeat some bosses. That's really not that enjoyable. I feel like I missed something or went about it the wrong way I played til the second act. I saw unrewarding quests, like you turn the flaming pigs back into people and that's... Kinda it. Fetch this, get reward. Help person, get reward. Evil empire is the bad guys. Pompous people with British accents and mysterious sorcerers. It was all so uninspired And then the powers, like I even looked up the master level spells/abilities and they're just like some plants whacking a guy, or a little fire tornado. I guess what I'm getting at is I never felt like I was on an adventure.
