DeathChicken 10/17/21 7:28:59 PM #225 | Movie #17, Saw. I love this movie and wow do the sequels completely lose track of what made it so cool --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/16/21 7:34:55 PM #222 | Movie #16, Halloween Kills. My gut feeling is that this felt like the Halloween 2 to Halloween. Less sneaky scary, more total carnage. I liked it but I can see how people might not --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/15/21 8:24:20 PM #213 | Movie #15, Phantasm. Speaking of movies carried by an amazing lead villain. This was like someone told the actor "Do a vague approximation of a human except nothing is quite right" --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/15/21 6:35:59 PM #211 | The first short of VHS actually has a movie sequel of its own, Siren. It's...not as good but the lead villain is fun --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/14/21 9:03:34 PM #203 | I never get used to Sam Neill's character in that movie after Jurassic Park. Dammit Grant why would you do this Anyway movie #14, Lake Mungo. That...I don't even know if I could call that a scary movie so much as overwhelmingly moody and sad. Very, very good though --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/13/21 12:36:41 PM #187 | I think my favorite thing about Unfriended is how they manage to convey a lot of emotion through nothing but someone fucking about on a computer screen. They'll start to type, double back, erase themselves, make stupid typos as the spooky shit ramps up. It's really impressive and I've never seen another movie like it. Well, possibly the sequel but I remember that being bad Anyway, I might watch Exorcist 3 next. I've somehow never seen it before --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/12/21 10:14:02 PM #182 | Movie #12, Unfriended. Which I think may be my personal "No one appreciates this movie except me" movie. It just does things so well for a movie that's literally one camera shot never changing --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/12/21 5:42:16 PM #177 | If you haven't seen Sadako vs Kayako I recommend it. And by recommend I mean it's completely insane and dumb --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/11/21 9:38:11 PM #165 | It did have some fun cameos (Brad Dourif and Robert Englund) and a pretty bitchin soundtrack, but still, aie yie yie --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/11/21 9:26:58 PM #164 | Movie #11, Urban Legend. You ever find yourself watching a pretty average horror movie, and then there's a scene so incredibly dumb it just leaves you going what at your screen throughout the entire next scene? DeathChicken 10/10/21 10:39:28 PM #150 | Also I really like the TVTropes theory that this is a prequel to Warhammer 40K and the ship went through the Warp --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/09/21 10:37:25 PM #142 | Movie #9, Nightmare on Elm Street 5. It's not a bad premise really, but Freddy is full on silly asshole here. He was scary for like three movies --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/08/21 9:50:30 PM #135 | Movie #8, Halloween 2018. I can't say enough good things about this movie. It's almost a remake of the original as far as the scenes go, just turned on its head because Laurie has had 40 years to evolve as a character. The rest of it is a string of people trying to ascribe human motives to the black hole of evil that is Michael and inevitably eating a knife for it It was kind of an amazing moment when I was sitting there trying to figure out if there was a pattern to the shit Michael was doing, then I was like wow, I'm doing it too --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/07/21 9:38:49 PM #126 | Movie #7, Let's Scare Jessica To Death. Uh wow, that took awhile to get rolling but was really good once it did. Basically a woman gets released from a sanitarium for unspecified issues, her husband and his friend take her to go live in a secluded house in the woods. They meet a homeless woman squatting in the house who befriends them, and then shit rapidly gets *really* weird and it becomes a matter of whether Jessica is crazy, being messed with or if there's something else at work. --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/06/21 7:30:12 PM #115 | Movie #6, Hellraiser 2. I don't really know how to feel about Channard, the hurricane of evil doctor jokes. That guy made Freddy look subdued --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/05/21 9:39:34 PM #105 | Movie #5, The Strangers: Prey at Night. Hahaha, well here's a movie for anyone who absolutely hated how the last movie ended. --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/04/21 8:40:28 PM #85 | Movie #4, The Strangers. Honestly it's a creepy little movie and I don't hate it, but the ending makes me want to go watch the incredibly stupid and funny sequel and for that I can't forgive --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/03/21 9:46:29 PM #75 | Movie #3, Eraserhead. That, uh, was definitely the most David Lynch movie I've ever seen --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/02/21 11:09:40 PM #60 | Movie 2, Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Well this was an interesting premise, just because one of the characters could have stopped Freddy cold --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |

DeathChicken 10/02/21 8:05:59 AM #45 | I'm planning to watch a scary movie every day this October. First was Nightmare on Elm Street 3, which is kind of a funny movie since Freddy hasn't gone full on silly ham yet, but you can see him getting there Also I always forget a very young Laurence Fishburne is in this --- We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable |
