I don't think you'd die. You would be comatose. It adds a whole dimension to her character because she can't get physically close to anyone without hurting them.

Here's where it gets difficult. You might not find a larger body type attractive. That is most likely routed in fatphobia, as it is just a body that is larger than normal. However, if you completely ignore talking to someone and getting to know someone because they are fat is fatphobic. I guess it's a matter of are you not attracted to that person after really thinking about it/getting to know them somewhat or are you just going to ignore them because they are fat?

I don't think it really matters. It's clearly here and doing damage. As long as we are working to lessen/ mitigate it's affect on us, that should be our focus.

No, not really. I'm as gay as they come and I'm not offended by that.

TopicBiden just dropped student debt cancellation down to zero.

Yes, there is part of me that thinks it's only fair to pay back your student loan debt. HOWEVER, those loans are absolutely preditory and are targeted at kids who generally have no financial knowledge or an understanding of the terms of the loan contracts. Financial illiteracy is a huge issue because there really isn't much discussion or focus on teaching these skills to kids to make them more competent adults. I can't help but feel like that might be purposeful to help keep the status quo.

Also, the price of an education is obscene. there's no reason that we need to go into thousands of dollars (sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars) into debt to give us the skills we need to maybe get a job. Education should be about improving our skills in the fields and arts that we are interested in, not necessarily for us to get a job. This keeps so many people from ever attempting to go to school or get that next level degree to improve their skills/ learn new skills/ move up in their careers because it's ultimately not worth it in their eyes. Why spend all that money on something that's not guaranteed?

The fact that Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z are all saddled with and or are going to be saddled with debt from school is also going to hurt a lot of industries. We already hear them crying about how the diamond industry, the paper towel industry, the golf industry, etc are dying because no one is buying them. Did you ever think that it's because these groups of people can't afford these things and pay rent? Cancelling student loans would free up so much money for people and create so much disposable income. It will also make owning a home and having children way more viable for a lot of people. I don't really see the downside of removing student loan debt.

That's just a scare tactic to keep people fighting for lower pay. The price may go up, but it's pretty insignificant (cents) compared to the quality of life a higher paying job provides.

Just look at it's history and I think it's pretty clear that you can see that it was built upon racism. Slavery, anti-immigration law, the treatment of the Native Americans, the treatment of the Chinese while building the railroad system, Japanese internment camps during world war 2, and those are just a few things that I thought of off the top of my head.

We have like a fraction of the population of the other New England states. 70% is not that hard to reach. That's basically 30% of all the major cities combined or something equally ridiculous.

You probably won't get hit with the side effects for hours after the shot. I would suggest having a lot of water before, during, and after the shot. You should be fine driving after the shot if you are less than an hour or two away from where you're getting the shot.

TopicWhat do you think can be done to prevent another pandemic from happening?
YUNASBFGIR

I think we need to have consistent messaging from our political and scientific leaders. I think America as a whole needs to rethink it's individualistic nature because that is the crux of a lot of our problems especially when dealing with a pandemic. It's a group project and not everyone feels like they need to contribute the same amount. We also need leadership that doesn't downplay the severity of the pandemic. Even if the intent is to calm the people, it's only going to be sending a conflicting message. Also trying to pinpoint a date when it will all be over is a pretty bad idea. We also need to improve the healthcare system. It's created a lot of people who are not trusting of doctors, it's prohibitively expensive to access healthcare and that creates health issues that are not being addressed properly which makes people more likely to be wrecked by contracting a virus like covid. There's also the whole issue of caring more about the economy and the stock market than the worker's safety. The whole idea of sacrificing our lives so the corporations can still profit is not a great look. I think that's fortunately being kind of exposed now so we may see some very tiny and temporary change in that department.

I got a few bonuses throughout the first year of the pandemic. I also had a few weeks paid because I tested positive for covid and had to quarantine (fortunately, I was asymptomatic so it was basically just 10 days of hanging around at home relaxing/doing nothing).

It's my favorite movie of all time! It is absolutely not a good movie by any standard, but it is fun and quotable. If you don't take it seriously at all, it's not as awful. Also the amount of 90's British actor cameos is everything.

To be fair, AP classes aren't a clear reflection of the quality of school systems. Also, pretty much all education is messed up. There's so much inequality and focus on testing which does nothing to help students outside of the school setting.

Firstly, I sincerely doubt that having a transman would really have that much impact on a team sport. Secondly, I really don't think it's that big of an advantage in solo sports. It's not like they're part mermaid/man in swimming competitions. I think we are allowing too much bigotry in the conversation.
