That would also explain why Jolly Roger Bay from Banjo Tooie has a pirate character in one of the bars. I'm pretty sure that pirate was originally in the Project Dream game (what BK used to be). The pirate even talks about how he once had a dream or something like that.

Anyone remember that Mighty Ducks cartoon?

To be fair, the concept isn't even that different from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Beast Wars, but I think the existence of the live action Mighty Ducks franchise (which has absolutely nothing to do with alien ducks fighting a dragon man) makes the cartoon feel so strange in comparison. It's so bizarre, lol.

"Ned Leeds" in the MCU is just Ganke (Miles best friend from the comics) with a different name. In fact, the directors of Into the Spider-Verse even mentioned they were going to add more Ganke to the movie originally, but they omitted him because the Homecoming took so much of Ganke from the "Ned" character.

Even knowing they had less than a 0% chance of scratching Cell, it was cool in the anime to see them attacking Super Perfect Cell and how they were willing to die trying.

It's not like them to just stand by even when they know they have no chance. They just stood on the sidelines in the manga.

That opening cutscene with Eggman and Sonic is amazing. One of my favorite moments in a Sonic game by far. Felt like I was watching an action packed Sonic movie made by Pixar.

Is this Stimulus based on 2019 or 2020 taxes?

I filed for 2019, but not for 2020 yet. Also, I did get that $600 in January, which means they already have my info on file.

Anyone else agree? Something about the movie feels off. Almost like it got lost in time.

The movie could have come out in the early or even mid 2000s and there wouldn't be much of a difference at all. Especially when you had crap like Hulk 2003 and Elektra. Venom isn't as bad as those movies, I'm just saying it feels like it could've come out when superhero movies hadn't quite established themselves yet.

What would the general reception of the Sonic movie be if they had kept Sonic's ugly design? I guess the movie would be one giant meme, at least.

I'm also guessing baby Sonic (shown at the beginning of the movie) would've been hideous as well. Not to mention Tails would probably be coyote ugly as well.

Nowadays people wouldn't even be able to tell if someone walked into a bank to rob it or not, since everyone and their dog wears a mask.

Everyone still talks about Okami, but I never hear much about Okamiden, the sequel that came out on the DS back in 2010 (2011 in NA). For those who've played it, what do you think?

I haven't played it myself, but the game seems pretty restricted due to being on the DS from what I've seen in playthroughs. The game also retcons some things from the first game and has some hilarious typos ("let's out of here").

Just a funny thought I've had...

English dubs in anime have come a long way from the days of Toonami. Remember how bad the dub voice acting in DBZ was in the early days of the Ginyu and Frieza Saga? It's hilariously bad.

In an alternate universe where the My Hero Academia anime was made in the 90's and aired on Toonami, I can only imagine what the dub would've been like. We probably would've had Present Mic singing about "Cat Loves Food" or Deku having weird dub lines about Bakugo acting like he has a bad case of the hemmoroids.

I wonder if Batman with prep time would find some way to beat Frieza.

Sounds ridiculous that Batman would have even the smallest chance against a planet busting tyrant, but Bats has even managed to outsmart Darkseid before.

One of the hardest games out there. Every screen is a death trap, and don't even get me started on the infamous Turbo Tunnel. I've never beaten the game myself (I did try with save states once and it still felt impossible to beat).

Have you beaten the game without warps and cheats?
