As much as I love fighting games ive found them to be the most boring additions. Especially ryu and Ken. Not that I dont think they deserve a apot they are video game icons

I think they're dope, especially how you can use their actual inputs instead of just pressing a button and a direction. Really gives them a nice charm that no other characters really have

Really? I'm feeling Kamiya Hiroshi. While Denji does seem like he'd have the loud obnoxious voice Okamoto can give, I think the thirsty simp angle Hiroshi could bring would really pay off.

Oo i finished reading the 1st part of the manga not too long ago. i prob wont watch the anime but the trailer looks super duper cool

Usually once I start reading a series, I'll drop the anime or just never start it too. It's odd though with Chainsawman. I think it's because I read the manga I'm even more excited to watch it. It'll be fun to re-experience and see in action as I know how much I'll enjoy it.

Chainsaw Man has confirmed the first staff additions to the anime with the debut of its very first trailer! Tatsuki Fujimoto's original manga series brought its run in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine last year, and it was an exciting prospect for many as not only was it announced that Fujimoto would be continuing the manga series with a second part but that it was also going to be debuting its very first anime adaptation. Outside of being produced by Studio MAPPA, details for the adaptation had been scarce until just recently.

As a celebration of the studio's tenth anniversary, Studio MAPPA held a special event where they talked about some of their upcoming projects. This was headlined by the very first trailer for the new Chainsaw Man anime, and not only did we get to see our first look at what this new anime will offer but MAPPA also used the trailer to confirm the main staff for the series that includes some major anime veterans and legends.

Directing Chainsaw Man for Studio MAPPA is Ryu Nakamura (Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen Episode Director), while Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan's final season) will be writing the scripts for the series. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) will be designing the characters and Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Devilman Crybaby) will be designing the devils themselves. Action direction will be overseen by Black Clover director Tatsuya Yoshihara, art direction will be handled by Vinland Saga's Yusuke Takeda, and Makoto Nakazono (Little Witch Academia) is serving as chief technical director.

Rounding out these staff additions will be kensuke ushio (Devilman Crybaby, A Silent Voice), who will be composing the music. There are still many details left to be confirmed for the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime such as the voice cast or release date or window information. It could be a while before we actually get to see what the full anime will look like, so there's plenty of time for more of these production details to be revealed by MAPPA in the future.

What do you mean by that? Like are they going to animate all of part 1? Looks like it because I see a clip of a house getting obliterated in the snow and that's a flashback during the "snowball fight" which is basically at the end.

Or are you asking if they're gonna outsource the Animation?

I'm hearing that the trailer is more of a proof of concept thing, as in these aren't necessarily snippets from the episodes (sort of like how MAPPA's Attack on Titan s4 trailer had 2D titans in it). Still hope the final product looks this good.

I mean, it looks like less of that since in the last couple seconds you can see they're using a CGI Denji when he's Chainsaw Man. If that's the extent of the CG, then it doesn't look bad.

People are allowed to be upset over the fact that they saw a penis, but the lady in the video was completely out of line and in no way was justified to spew the transphobic vitriol she did.

However, saying "I don't want to see penises in a female dressing room" is a completely rational thing to say. "Saying I don't want to see penises in the female dressing room because if you have a penis you're a man" is a whole other thing. Her doubling down and repeating "that's a man" is what makes this wrong. Not them being upset that they saw a dick

I don't think Kishimoto, the author, does either.

I remember when the Sharingan was first introduced. It was just means of analyzing chakra/jutsus so you could predict or copy your opponents. Then the Chunnin exams happened they had to hype up Neji, so now all of a sudden Byakugan was the original dojutsu and the Sharingan is just a mutation. The real shit is with the Hyuga clan

Then they gotta hype Itachi, so the Sharingan is now actually an evolution with further evolutions like the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Then in shippuden they hype up Pain with the Rinnegan which is the true dojutsu. Which we then come to find out that they were originally Madara's so now they're actually a Sharingan evolution, except they're not because now they're original dojutsu again since that's what the Sage of 6 paths had but his mom had the Byakugan so that's the real original dojutsu and it just keeps changing back and forth

There's also a large overlap between people who enjoyed Berserk and people who've enjoyed Monster. It's nothing like berserk at all genre wise, but the content is still nearly up to par. When people want a deeper more nuanced show, I recommend them that.
