He was delighted when she came into the lab with Katie and wrote "My favourite new equipment purchase for the lab, a travel crib to go in my office so my graduate student can bring her 9 month old little girl to work when necessary and i get to play with her while her mom gets some work done. Win-win!!!". The CDC has since recommended all ages 12 and up to get vaccinated against the virus after more than 400 kids have died from it and tens of thousands hospitalized. Yet Trump said he is not confident if children would benefit from it claiming "We have to get back into schools, they have to get open. And frankly, we are lucky we have the vaccine, but the vaccine on the very young people is someting that you've got to really stop. I am a big believer in what we did with the vaccine, it is incredible what we did. You see the reuslts. But to have every child, where it is 99.99%, they just don't you know, they are just not affected or affected badly, having to receive a vaccine, i think it is something that you should start thinking about because i think it is unnecessary" He said he felt vindicated by stopping flights in the early days of the pandemic from china and then europe and claims the leak did happen at a Wuhan lab but on "accident"..at least he hopes. Trump has known to have anti-vaxx views back in 2008 claiming once that they caused AUTISM among children. He said then "When i was growing up, autism wasn't really a factor. And now all of a sudden, it's an epidemic. My theory is the shots. We're giving these massive injects at one time and i think it does something ot the children". The students were marked for being unvaccinated and the school has defended that policy stating students were asked to raise their hand every few songs so that event organizers could determine who they were around The school said it doesn't know of any COVID-19 cases linked to the prom and said one of the organizers had a list of prom attendees in which numbers written corresponded to the names of students but not regarding vaccination status They said the cards will be destroyed in the next few days but parents and Republican Heifer, Melissa Litchfield were outraged stating "You had to produce your papers and if you didn't produce your papers you were branded with a black sharpie. What does that mean to you? I'm just going to let that sit there" She said parents weren't notified before this occurring as one parent said "We truly feel they are literally branding our kids if they don't get 'approved vaccine'".
