While this does happen, the vast majority do not. And people should not be criticized for finding a better job. Players should be criticized for finding a better team that works for them. ESPECIALLY if the team won't get criticized for trading players (it has to be meaningful criticism. on the same level that players get criticized).

Difference between finding a better job and jumping teams solely because you couldnt win a title with your current team. (LeBron jumping from Cavs to Heat, and making a big hey look at this decision I made! Televised event about it)

I always love when people bring up the "be loyal to your team!" point. Because teams are loyal to players and would never just trade your ass if they didn't find you useful. Nope, Bulls never got rid of Derrick Rose nor did the Raptors get rid of DeMar Derozan.

Rose was traded because he was injury prone. He was loyal to the team, though. He didn't run off after his contract ended.
Derozan was loyal to Toronto and didn't run off after his contract ended.
LeBron is loyal only to himself and runs from team to team after his contracts ended.
