It was loosely based on a wiimote and nunchuck and then kinda just got more monstery over time lol.

Aww thank you. <3 Truth be told, this topic was essentially glorified tracing lol. Most of the lessons give you construction shapes or straight up line art on the canvas and they all tell you exactly what to do and how at every step. The closest things to artistry with these ones were the additions and alterations suggested in this topic. Those extra elements were fun to implement though. :]

From what I've seen, Pokeymans Art Academy seems to be a little more limited. Like the pen tool is automatically applied to the top layer and marker to the bottom layer and iirc there are only two layers total? I only bought the Disney version in the first place because I was under the impression that it was the best drawing tool of the three versions. And I can already use it to draw pokeymans.

Hooray I'm done! 100% babey! I even got a little rainbow mickey on my...art camp ID card?! I dunno wtf it's supposed to be, but whatever I have a little rainbow mickey stamp on it now.

Also apparently doing all the lessons unlocks another tool so now I have a mickey brush AND a rainbow pen thingy.


We did it guys! Another platinum in the bag! Cuz that's a thing on the 3ds. Obviously.

Minnie Mouse dressed as Beetlejuice

So here's the thing about the Minnie lesson. When you first start the game, you have a choice of introductory lessons between a Mickey face and a Minnie face. Being the basic bitch I am, of course I started with Mickey, leaving the other absolutely barebones, welcome-to-the-game lesson undone all this time. It's so absolutely barebones that it does not let you choose what color, tool, or tool size to use at any given time. I just barely managed to pick up on this in time to throw in the white, black, and pink for the suit before they were locked away forever. So yeah, this is the best I could do under the iron fist of the introductory art class.

So here's the thing. I've been drawing a bunch of stuff for CE in Disney Art Academy lately, but I've never actually completed all of the lessons in the game, and I think that's really limiting my artistic potential. At the moment, I have eight more lessons to complete, but I need help. I can't just follow the game's direction to the letter. Where's the fun? The suspense? The pizzazz? You gotta help me come up with personal touches for the rest of the lessons.

Keep in mind that I can only use the colors that are already in the reference pics (thus the Sanic with yellow shoes) and the tools they're trying to teach. It's been like five years since I started the game, it's time I get that platinum. Help me CE, you're my only hope.

I played the crap out of Super Circuit and Double Dash in their days, and played a fair bit of DS when it came out too, but I'm guessing that 8's online scored it the most playtime total. I think I got over 10k in whatever the rank points were called with Lemmy on inward drifting bike (suck it you firehopping Morton mains). It's also the one I played most recently, so there's that. If I tried it now though I'm sure I'd suck cuz I haven't played it since CTR Nitro Fueled came out and that plays really differently lol.

Okay, this is just flat-out great. You have this way that you use colors that give it a certain vintage vibe. You even do the thing where you color the lines, something that I've always wanted today but is too lazy and often forget. Amazing stuff, man!

Haha thanks. And yeah, colored lines and shadows are a huge pain to do with disney art academy, but I love how colorful they make some pieces, so I'll suffer through it now and then.

120/151. I coulda gotten one or two more if not for my fat clumsy thumbs cuz I remembered the bellsprout and oddish lines right before the time ran out and somehow typed lbesprout or something like that lol. It's annoying cuz I'm really familiar with all 151 and could probably figure out the spelling with a few tries if I saw them, but trying to pull them all out of the air is tough.
