Yes. I would have fucking loved that when I was trying to find a job. Instead, nobody wanted to hire me due to not having any experience because at the time minimum wage was $10. Who wants to train somebody with no experience for $10 an hour when I can easily find somebody.

Finally, I got a job and got promotion after promotion. When I hit my ceiling I went somewhere else with higher pay and the process continued. My anecdotal is bullshit because it's my anecdotal. However, throwing buzzwords like "raise minimum wage" and "Rent control" hampers communities rather than help them.

How many kiosk do you see at a grocery store and how many workers do you see at each kiosk? I'd wager you only see 1-2 workers working and you see 8-10 kiosks closed. How is that helping anybody? It's shitty for customers and it's shitty workers.

It's shitty for workers because you are over working 1-2 to clear a line of 50 customers and it's shitty for customers because they have to wait in line with 50 people.

Minimum wage and rent control should be abolished. Massively cripples community. UBI will be a thing in 20 years if we continue to raise minimum wage. We will be out of work due to robots.

I never understood the point of making a show out of proposals. My fiance and I just had a dinner and talked about it and decided we were engaged. Next few weeks I got her a ring and we called it a day.
