Our track record in "international diplomacy" is terrible. Not a fan of funding more potential Wars on Terror. And I'm 100% for my taxes being used for infrastructure and helping those in need. My issue is lots of frivolous spending, (see military/government officials salaries/pensions). Or do you hold forever? Portfolio is up from the $3750 I invested a month or so ago to just under 10k rn. Lots of non-profits will dump free goods to help out, which comes from good motivation, but can knock out small businesses. If someone is trying to sell clothes for example, and then x,y,z organizations come through handing out free clothes, there goes your local small business that might have fed a family. Then again those getting free goods can now allocate funds that would have been spent on goods on other things.
