I always feel better after I quit a particularly demanding game. Like that new-ish FFBE game. Really wanted to like it, but it was so player and gacha unfriendly that I realized I was giving way more than I was getting back from it and I was miserable. Nothing is stopping you from going back after a while either. I quit Azur Lane for over a year and I still play it every day these days for the last several months.

Oh wait, is OS only for Meta ships? I mean a Meta Takao sounds interesting, but I prefer thicc sister. Mainly because I want to use her, Belfast, and if possible, a third pyro ship to have a fun vanguard that delights in arson :3

Meta ships are the primary reason to play OS, but you gets lots of gear resources like purple and gold plates, and everything you need to upgrade your equipment in the gear lab which is the only way to get some of the best equipment in the game. Endgame worthy grind though.

For the most part, the only gear recommendations that make a huge difference are Battleship guns (for Barrage and proc purposes) and Airplanes (for specific attack patterns or speed dependent based on skill procs.) CL/CA guns have some optimization, but even then your gunboats are never going to be the bulk of your damage in any battle that really matters. (And if they are, you need to rethink your strategy.) Speed, spread, and range are usually the deciding factors. Same thing with Torpedoes. The difference between Homing torpedoes and regular torpedoes is that homing does less, but more consistent when playing Auto. The quint theoretically does more, but theorycrafters have determined that the accuracy and launch spread is too wide for all to hit, even at really close range.

Now auxiliaries are a different story, but you can never go wrong with Repair boxes and Washing machines/Radar depending for your frontliners. Catapults for Carriers, and Shells for Battleships.

That being said, I find the optimal gear recommendations often overwhelming personally since the names aren't very distinguishable. (Multiple twin/triple 203's for example.) I'll pick a few ships like Shinano that are level 120 and work on them 1 at a time. Otherwise, the ship I'm using gets majority Gold gear. (Or the purple Triple 406, which for whatever reason still trumps most gold gear.) So I could probably be wrong about gearing, but this is just my opinion.

The single 150 is a purple only. Just like repair boxes don't go past purple rarity either. This site tells you where to find them too if you need that help.

Probably no one plays anymore but just wanted to share that one of the OG gacha games and one of the first to take off in the west is pretty much done.

Brave frontier is officially producing no new content now and just keeping the usual monthly events rotating and servers open. All seasonal and LE units are added to the unit pool and the meta unit pool which includes these are 20% rates. It was a good 7 year run until just recently where the game started declining fast and hard and it was pretty obvious this was about to happen.

Was a very fun gacha with many play modes and things to grind for. Too bad the power creep was as bad as it was but I spent a lot of time and money on it. Fond memories.

Is the Soul Forming research worth it? It cost 8k coins and 3 wisdom cubes. It seems really pricey for the rewards, but I did it once just out of curiosity lol

You get a ridiculous amount of blueprints relative to other research topics. And it's the best investment time wise since it's only 30 minutes. I often skip them though unless I'm over 300 cubes. They're pretty rare.

If you want to try an actual game changer, try butter-basted steak. So delicious. Relatively labour intensive method though.

Grinding is also pretty minimal, which speeds up the gameplay. It's really easy to get at a decent level even if it's a character at level 1. Lower leveled characters level up faster.

Are the Meta ships the endest of end game things to get? Priority ships are really straightforward, but Meta ships seems sort of convoluted :<

I mean I don't want Ark Royal Meta too badly, but just in case there does come a day that one that I want pops up... I'm guessing I can just not worry about them for now though? Or at least until I unlock the Ashes Showdown thing? I've completely neglected Operation Siren lol

You have three months to unlock the ship which takes about a week of play. Maybe another week or so to limit break it fully. A month to fortify it's stats. Skills are dependent on how much you play. They seem to be strong ships, but not so strong that they are must-haves. Essentially a different form of priority/research thats tied towards playing rather than time based research tasks.

Somehow I got the exact three SSRs I wanted on this Tenkafuma reroll.

On the flip side, barely any SRs and none of them were the slime girl. Ill still try for her, but this is a good starting waifu lineup.

Nice. I'm running Satan/Ba'al with three SRs right now. Kind of taking it slow.

The Exercises in Azur Lane are starting to annoy me. My stats are a decent amount higher (like 1 or 2K for both main and vanguard) than some opponents, but RNG can skew the results to a ridiculous degree. One time I might be about to lose, so I restart the match. Then I win with 60% of my life left. I understand there being some amount of variability, but it shouldn't be nearly that noticeable <_<

There are some ships that I just hate going against because a bad RNG usually leads to a loss. Enterprise is probably the worst offender in that regard.
