Instead of just being a standard SSD. If you look back you can easily find posts of people acting like Cerny just invented the lightbulb on stage as he discussed the console's SSD.

Ok call it another name if you want. We can correct it to say "The artstyle that's like Steven Universe that's now been copied in lots of other shows is ugly". If that makes you feel better.

On the contrary, it's so weird to me that video games are the one area where people get called entitled for saying they won't pay a certain amount for a product. Most of us think $70 isn't worth it. But cult-like videogame company fanboys say we need to suck it up and pay more or else we're disrespecting the poor companies who are working so hard to make these products for us. It's ridiculous.

Highly recommend the Raidou manga to any Raidou fans by the way. It's its own story that takes place after the second game. The artwork and the story is pretty great. Same atmosphere as the games, but also delves into some areas the games never got the chance to dive too much into. Like how some of the other people in the Yatagarasu operate or like how Raidou is supposed to be a highschooler in the middle of all the devil summoner stuff

Raidou games are ok. The story and atmosphere is much more interesting than the gameplay - where it's kind of just an ok PS2 action RPG. Very cool for existing SMT fans getting the chance to fight with demons outside of turn-based gameplay. But I wouldn't recommend them to non-SMT fans.

I still like both games. And it's worth emphasizing Raidou 2 gameplay improves so much over Raidou 1. Almost everything you can think of - even as small as just making it so that Raidou doesn't physically run so slow outside of battles. And no more random encounters in literally every room in the game.

I used to let missables stress me out a lot when I was younger and dropped games when it was clear I missed some huge side-quest. But now I go in with the strategy of:
  • First playthrough - No walkthrough, no guides, no looking anything up, totally natural playthrough
  • Second playthrough - Look EVERYTHING up. 100% everything. Get every missable. Do every side-quest. Min-max it all. Hardest difficulty if available.

Satisfies all my itches without ruining the base game for me. Only problem is it means I might spend a long time with a single game if it's a long RPG. But sometimes New Game + makes that digestible enough.

I'm sure there'd always be some contrarianism toward it just because some people don't like doing what they're asked to do. But the majority of the anti-mask sentiment can definitely be attributed purely to Trump starting the trend. Trump could have advertised MAGA-branded masks on Twitter and raked in money from his supporters while also fighting the spread of the virus. But instead, because he had already went all-in campaigning on the strength of the economy, he was too concerned about whether people worrying about the virus would affect this re-election chances and decided to actively discourage actions that would slow the spread of the virus. And then banked on every possible miracle-cure for the situation, except masks and social distancing, presented before him including hydroxychloroquine, oleandrin, convalescent plasma, "injecting disinfectants", warm weather killing the virus on its own, etc. etc.

Pure statistically I can't think of anything rarer I've experienced than pokerus I guess, like others have said. Which is roughly a one in 20,000 chance to see. Outside of MMOs or mobile games I don't think many things in games really get rarer. I've done lots of 1% or 1/255 item drop grinds in other RPGs though.

In Gen 3 I have at least 4 legitimate shinies and a few more shinies I RNG manipulated. I did a lot of EV grinding in the same place in the Desert Underpass so 1 of the shinies is a shiny Ditto from there and 2 of the shinies are Loudreds from there, which is weirdly coincidental. That's also where I got pokerus. I did a lot of battles but it shouldn't have been 3 shinies and a pokerus number of battles...

I'm happy that masks likely will be more normalized now just for being regular sick, as they are in other countries. You could have worn one before the pandemic but people would've thought you were carrying the bubonic plague or else question why it's necessary. Anyone who's feeling at all sick and going in public should be wearing one going forward, unless you have no empathy for infecting other people.

Yeah kinda true. Blight obviously had potential and then wasn't really used after Season 1. The best overall I think was probably Spellbinder, and even he isn't really like a particularly amazing villain. Shriek kept coming back in episodes despite the only really interesting thing with him (the silent scene) happening in his first episode. I also like Mad Stan a lot but he's a joke character.

Maybe controversial opinion but honestly Batman Beyond was really weighed down by the Terry in highschool plots. I know that the need from higher-ups to make a Teenage Batman is the reason the show exists, but none of the teenager-centric plots paid off and all the best episodes of the show are pure Batman.

Where people are confused is that credit cards have a statement closing date and a payment date. Once a month the statement will tell you how much you currently owe, which you have to pay by the payment date. You accrue interest when you don't pay off all of your balance before the payment date. You should never have that happen. It's just burning money away.

The incorrect logic of the "you should carry a balance" people is that credit bureaus can't see that you used your credit card unless you don't pay it all off and carry some of the debt into the next month. They are incorrect, because the credit bureaus only see what's on your statements. If you pay off everything you owe between the statement date and the payment date then you won't pay any interest and everyone can see that you used your card.

This sort of micromanaging on credit is silly anyway. Either way the difference is very negligible and the real secret to having a good credit score is just pay everything on time for a long time. You shouldn't spend extra money you weren't going to spend just to raise your credit score and you definitely shouldn't pay interest just to raise your credit score.

Yeah. Some people have the misunderstanding that the 3-day cycle puts a scary time limit in the back of your mind all the time but it isn't really like that at all. Especially with the Inverted Song of Time. You can pretty much do everything there is to do in a section of the world in a cycle and even if for some reason you can't, you naturally get sort of "checkpoints" to continue off of a section's storyline in a new cycle. The 3-day cycle adds a lot, lot more life and content to the game than it takes away.
