The terrible thing is that global warming makes AC more and more necessary in many places.
What we really need to do is clean up our power grid: solar, wind, and nuclear need to become the base of our global power grid, and we need to reconfigure our grids to best cater to their needs. We can't stop burning carbon soon enough, but late is better than never.

He could win against Kamala Harris. Not because she's black or a woman, but because she's a dark void of charisma utterly dedicated to listening to the worst advice the worst people have to offer.
Then there's the "Hillary beats Harris in the primary and loses to Trump again" comedy option.
Darkly comedic, because we would be really screwed then.

Yes TC, I am looking forward to SMT V. Itll be interesting to see what direction they take it in.

Another game I would like to stan: Shadowrun: Dragonfall. The series in general is good: small-scale turn-based tactical combat with D&D-like character creation. But Dragonfall stands out as (IMO) being the most tightly plotted. Youre basically solving a pair of mysterious depths and doing missions to pay for the info you need, but it really immerses you in this grim fantasy-cyberpunk world and has an unrelenting atmosphere of anticipation and dread. It even features some good, impactful decisions, great party members with their own stories who feel like a ragtag bunch of runners, and has a few well-executed plot twists. Theres a lot of room for different builds and approaches to things, and the difficulty curve is pretty good though the first real fight is actually really tough.

DW8 XL is pretty good. The one bad thing is that the Historical Story Paths for each kingdom are basically worse versions of 7's which are legit really well done.
Lu Bu's story in 8XL is baller though.

As for me? I would like to call attention to SMT: Nocturne, as I'm playing the Remaster, and it's just a great game. Awesome soundtrack, though you'll need a mod to get HD tracks (LOL Atlas come the f*** on!). Great battle system and the game manages to maintain its difficulty way better than SMT IV or Apocalypse. I also like how active everyone is: whenever you meet a character, they're always doing (or trying to do) something, themselves, in person. Whereas I feel like most of what happens in IV and Apocalypse is because the PC did something. The Remaster is kind of lame, but the one surprisingly great thing about it is the voice-acting: there's not a bad voice job in the entire game, and a few of them really knock it out of the park. Since the game's plot is sparse, it helps give it that much more life.

There really wasn't a good leftist candidate in this race though. You only had two: Maya Wiley, a MSNBC host with little actual political experience who wasn't *that* left(no more left than, say, Liz Warren), who lost by just a few points and Dianne Morales, a former non-profit exec who was the only candidate to pick up "defund the police" but torpedoed herself by creating a toxic work environment and trying to break her campaign's union.
Adams, meanwhile, had the full backing of the NYPD and all kinds of centrist PACs and politicians. Unfortunately, a lot of liberals have a NIMBY attitude about police brutality, or only care about it when it's being done by Republicans.

At the same time, the DSA picked up two city council seats.

The definitive version of Live & Learn (main theme of Sonic Adventure 2) was gifted to us in the 30th anniversary symphony.
Live & Learn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8CRS-hFX8g

The fact that they skipped it, "ended" the concert, then did an encore (City Escape!) before finally ending on this helped make the Sonic 30th Anniversary Symphony incredibly epic. Seriously, look it up: it was amazing from start to finish.

Of course, Sonic is no stranger to guilty-pleasure vocal music! The US Sonic CD OST furnished us with this classic:
Sonic Boom - Pastiche (original)

Sonic Boom - Crush 40

Edit: Ok, let's do one more:

The idea of Eggman taking this much joy in his goofy ass self makes me happy.

Edit 2: Okay, I just thought of this one:

They need to do a lot better with outreach, particularly with minority communities. I know a lot of my POC friends and coworkers are distrustful of the vaccine. Availability is also an important issue in some places.
Unfortunately; however, a lot of states just arent going to put in the effort and a lot of people especially white conservatives dont seem persuadable at all, due to the politicization of every aspect of the response to COVID-19 and general lack of trust. Were probably going to get hit hard again in fall and winter.

I really liked that one.
Morty's life is dominated by Rick, so he craves a relationship that's normal and wholesome. And Planetina was as wholesome as it gets! Except, you know...she's psychically-linked to the Earth and fundamentally inhuman, so without her handlers she resorted to mass homicide to protect the planet. It's not as though Morty disapproves of murder; he's murdered dozens, if not hundreds of people personally, and lord only knows what Rick's body-count is. It's that Morty doesn't want *more* of that in his life. Importantly, he doesn't unsummon Planetina, even though he presumably still has the rings, which shows more regard for her than her "kids" ever had. And Beth did a great job mothering: yet another indication of how much better she's doing personally.
As for the Rick/Summer plot...they really fit together better than Rick does with Morty in some ways, and this was an excellent illustration of that. Summer is perfectly capable of devoting herself entirely to hedonistic, strings-free apocalypse orgies, for example Morty would probably be all Morty about it. More so than Rick, as it turns out.

Next week is teasing us a potential BethxMorty plot. That's promising.
