Felt like an FPS RE4 prototype, very much an amusement park style of different moods, setpieces and enemy designs. I would have preferred a more cohesive Vampire vs Werewolf setup and got rid of swamp dude, though. Worst parts for me were mostly just the FoV and the factory level. Oh, and Heisenberg's voice actor. Fucking lol Best part was Beneviento Castle. Don't get me wrong, it's fun and atmospheric, but I feel like Van Helsing. I'm not scared; I'm actively planning the brutal, precise murder of every werewolf in sight at this point though. On Hardcore it's just given me so much ammo. Favorite moment in the game is, by far, Beneviento. I can see that section entering my top ten for horror setpieces in games. That's usually chicken, brown rice, broccoli and smoothies. I haven't lost so much as ten pounds this year. I just keep getting stockier. It took me seven tries to memorize the route I need to do right, and to cheese the AI into groups enough for the barrels to make a difference. I learned that after the giant spawns I can run into a house and break the AI by running in a circle around a kitchen table until I got shot in the leg by an arrow through the house itself lol Felt very much like the chase sequence from dark corners of the earth, but worse. I've got about two hours into the game post-intro and it's quite decent. But on Hardcore that first challenge is so busted it felt like a joke.
