Maybe block chain could replace VISA as the verification for commercial transactions if you were using blockchains that don't have a crazy $25 per transaction cost but you have to admit there wouldn't be an energy savings there. There still going to have to be some sort of cost in terms of computational power for dealing with block chain that is almost certainly going to be higher than the much simpler transactions that happen with VISA.

Basically what I'm getting at is that something like VISA had to exist for us to have things like credit cards rather than just carrying cash around and while I'm sure there is some waste involved in their business model they do have competition that keeps them from charging too crazy an amount.

Back when it was super niche, Bitcoin was making reasonable progress towards becoming a currency, and actually was one at some point, now though it is far from being one because it became purely a commodity and due to the max supply issue, it cant stabilize itself from the mess it has been in for the past several years by increasing supply to lower the value.

You do understand a Bitcoin has no actual value either right? Most dollars are digital, so it is just a valueless digital currency with no limits to how much can exist but relatively stable value and a supply constrained valueless digital currency that is fairly volatile due to not actually being used as a currency and instead a commodity.

In terms of processing power bitcoin transactions literally require millions of times more processing power and therefore energy than VISA transactions.

You also seem to have a misunderstanding of what VISA is. They don't actually hold the money they just provide a unified framework for card transactions so that you don't need tens of thousands of different card readers for each and every bank that exists. Mastercard is their big competitor with the same business model.

Guardians 3 is only taking this long because James Gunn was fired by Disney over bs and then DC scooped him up for Suicide Squad. By the time Disney agreed to bring him back, he was already knee deep in DC stuff as hes finishing up that movie and working on a Peacemaker show now. Hes probably not touching Guardians 3 until late this year at the earliest.
