I looked less than a month ago for a computer in the $600 range and found an HP with a 1650 and a Ryzen 5 3600 for $600 that was in stock at a local Walmart. There was also a Ryzen 7 5700G computer without a graphics card for a bit less. On the Intel side there were recent i7 processor prebuilts with 12 GB of RAM and Samsung NVME SSDs for similar prices.

Someone mentioned FTL earlier, but I also see Into the Breach and Halcyon 6. Into the Breach was made by the same people who did FTL and is every bit as great. Halcyon 6 wasn't half bad either.
