On average, they outperform, because they were already good players.

Almost every NBA/WNBA player we know that's vegan is a really good to elite player. Dame is among the best, not just great. Most of the NFL players we know about are at least a chain of solid contributors on a playoff team. Some are all time greats like Tony Gonzalez.

I was only talking about the biased sample. Since it's rarely documented when a nobody says they're vegan.

All we know is it's becoming more common and a ton of good players speak highly of it. Which is at least enough to retire the Foster memes.

Who made a strict no processed food rule? Humans evolved to process/cook food. You don't swallow raw cows whole either.

You don't have to supplement with protein powder if you're just a regular dude, vegan or not.

You will be supplementing with protein powder if you're a pro athlete, vegan or not.

Currently playing, that I know of, a few dozen between the NBA and WNBA. Maybe 20 or so in the NFL.

They typically greatly outperform their non-vegan counterparts, because it's usually a good player that makes news announcing they're vegan. Scrub players don't make diet announcements because no one cares.

I haven't seen any of the documentaries and stuff so unfortunately can't help you out there. Only tip is I've learned to cook several Indian chickpea and lentil dishes since turning vegan.

There are protein dense plant foods and there's protein dense meat. Vegan athletes shove plant protein powder into their face, meat eating athletes shove whey protein powder into their face. It's really not any different.

Because those companies don't know how to build EVs. Their software is crap, motors are crap, range is crap, production #s are crap, price is crap, dealership business model that can't survive on EV sales is crap.

But that's all an aside because he curiously pointed out cameras/sensors. Every company has always used the same dirt cheap cameras. The only special sauce for cameras would be the software for self driving, which Tesla is the only one even trying.

Thus... que.

For real? You know a lot more about hair health than I do, so I have no room to talk. But every medication I've ever taken, whether it's for headaches, fevers, whatever, are always temporary relief. I've never taken a pill that guarantees permanent relief from whatever problem I'm having. Always temporary. So why would side effects be permanent? Not saying you're wrong, in fact I'm glad that you're challenging my knowledge. I would rather have my facts straight of course.
The list of drugs that can do permanent damage is endless. Long term use of Tylenol for the headache/fever you mentioned causes liver failure leading to hundreds of deaths each year in the US.

As you know (and for disclosure) you're talking to the guy that tried finasteride a ton of times at different doses, got severe side effects each time, and quit without any permanent effects. Then cured his hair loss through research topicals that aren't even on the market. If anyone's using personal exp to disbelieve PFS it'd be me. So this isn't to scare anyone from trying it, I just want people to be informed in case their risk tolerance isn't as high as mine.

Endocrine system
Hormone -> enzyme -> other hormones -> receptors III effect happens
The amount of a hormone can change the pattern/amount of receptors through regulation controlled by genes. In some cases permanently. In some of those permanent cases it was a change that caused a negative effect that was upstream from a noticeable side effect. Could be ED, could be depression, etc.

DHT's Role
It is the active androgen in the maintenance of nitric oxide-mediated events. Which is an important vasodilator for maintaining the system responsible for erections. So it makes sense ED is a side effect of finasteride.

Baylor's Research
Penile vascular abnormalities were found in scans of young men with persistent side effects after finasteride use.

Fitting the Puzzle Pieces
Finasteride changes your hormone profile through reducing DHT
-> which leads to changing receptors, which can be a lack of up-regulation of receptors downstairs to compensate for less DHT
-> which leads to a lack of vasodilators maintaining your system for erections
-> which can lead to permanent atrophy and vascular abnormalities found by Baylor research in those with PFS
This explains permanent effects from taking finasteride.

And no worries man, here to help, up for the challenge lol. I could talk all day about this stuff. I too, was in that camp of "it must be one giant placebo coincidence that a ton of dudes have ED after taking this hormone pill" til severe, but thankfully temporary things happened to me and I spent 7 years reading studies about it.

Based on all the research I've done, I'm 99% sure that post finasteride syndrome does not exist. Those who claim they are suffering with post finasteride syndrome cannot conclusively prove that their feelings are happening because of finasteride. When the clinical studies were being done, not one person who experienced side effects continued to have those side effects after they stopped taking it. In my opinion, I think it's a placebo effect. You can easily trick yourself into thinking you have a side effect just because you're thinking that you will. How do you know you didn't experience that effect before taking finasteride, but you just didn't notice until now? I'm not a doctor, don't quote me on any of this. But based on my research I'm personally not worried about post finasteride syndrome.
Of course post finasteride syndrome exists. This is the risk that exists for every drug that messes with the balance of your endocrine system, finasteride is not special. It's just rare and can happen through different mechanisms (receptor patterns altered, enzyme production off schedule, etc.) There just isn't a flood of money coming in to specifically fund studies of rare side effects of drugs that were commercial flops and have since gone generic.

But Baylor University studied it for a brief moment and already found penile vascular abnormalities among those suffering PFS. Which is consistent with studies suggesting sometimes permanent atrophy of the system that maintains blood flow to erections due to DHT deprivation.

It's actually not.

The dosage used for hair loss is 1mg. The dosage used for enlarged prostates and transitioning to gender confirmation is 5mg.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10495374/

As the data shows, there is no difference between 0.2mg and 5mg. The consensus among many studies show the first signs of drop off in potency at 0.05mg.

This is why everyone that uses finasteride for hair loss will also have a significantly shrunken prostate. And it is also why any use of finasteride influences PSA tests (screening for prostate cancer)
