The new Seiyaryu is fantastic by embracing the Nativity theme of the original; I have not updated my rankings in months, but it might edge out Galaxy-Eyes Solflare Dragon as my favorite Dragon. Seventh place is really respectable for having just discovered it.

Cornered is powerful (especially the version with the abbreviated introduction that I believe plays at the end of T&T), but it's not competitive against many of the later themes. I chose Spirit of Justice's.

I think the most interesting aspect of any competitive game is interaction with the opponent, and I think synchros/xyzs/links take away from that and are more focused on just pulling off as many combos in your own deck as you can.

This is a succinct way to articulate why late game mechanics don't always work with older players.

Beyond that, another gripe I have is that rituals and fusions make sense thematically. You are sacrificing something in a ritual, or fusing 2 monsters together (Like dark magician girl dragon knight, or meteor black dragon) and usually they will fit the theme of what you're playing. IE if you fuse a warrior and a fire monster, you're getting a flame swordsman.

Yes, there are some amusing ritual scenarios out there like Resurrection of Chakra where the sacrifice depicted has a lore cost almost indicting the player using it. There are other examples, but that's the one that stands out in my mind.

The themes associated with XYZ materials ('overlay units') and the resultant monsters are examined closely in the animation; cards taken alone, it's a bizarre system, indeed.

For me, it's between Polly, DGS, and Investigations. Polly's isn't foreboding enough. Investigations has the strongest introduction (where I always think of the third case's breakdown when hearing it). But, as a whole mood-setting piece, Ryunosuke's is the strongest. This is also the strongest piece in this game that I can recall.

As an aside, GK2's consistently unsettles me which may be the point, but it is not pleasant to listen to.

I don't like Wright's theme as a score, but Wright 2016 is a jazzy jam that I never thought possible. All of the Spirit of Justice themes have intriguing progressions, but this one is extremely satisfying in and out of context. Put another way, objection themes are battle themes for courtroom battles. Wright 2016 could set the mood for a Disgaea stage or something.

The one track that stands out offhand from the crossover game is Courtroom Magician. I'm not sure what class of theme it is, but I think it's a pursuit theme.

I highly recommend the crossover game. I dragged my heels on it for a console generation because the Layton games I played hardly impressed, but it's well integrated and arguably more Ace Attorney than Layton.

Part 2 is where the good stuff comes out to play. Of these, Polly takes it. I'm not terribly fond of Wright's theme, but there is an exception in Part 2.

I don't have to relisten to anything to know that GK2 Presto takes it. It has an urgency to it capturing the unique tensions of the investigation style.

Edit: I should give an honorable mention to T&T. While the overall soundtracks of the 3DS era are stronger than the GBA games, this song has not been otherwise trumped in court.

Logic Chess and original Reproducing the Scene are contextually strong, but there is no contest with Mood Matrix. It has that appropriately haunting atmosphere for what will be discovered. I suppose the Seance fills a similar role, but it isn't pleasant to listen to.

I was the victim of 2-1 for having to play it; that case was absolutely bananas.

Anyway, 4-1 obviously carries the highest interest level of those listed, though DGS2-1 was probably the most well played.

PS2 titles are just old enough where the rare ones are super inflated right now. Look up prices on Rule of Rose, for example.

They're Lucario ear hair clips. Boss designs are often fashioned after monsters (cf Fantina and Riley in the same game). My favorite happens to also be designed after Lucario, though she comes much later in the series.

Like, tell me the definitive Cynthia waifu moments. You cant, because most Pokemon characters have like eight lines of dialogue and are basically just weird, silly outfits and hairstyles. Which is fine, I dont oppose that at all. Yeah, I get having Cynthia as your favorite waifu. Shes quality.

I encourage watching the cutscenes that follow for anyone who has not played this, as one of them is unique as far as this series is concerned.

Other notable appearances include Platinum's final dungeon, the next generation of games, and various events in Masters EX. She even got a Kommo-o alternate costume for those not into the Lucario garb.

The reasons why Sara is single include her baggage and lack of clarity for what she's looking for in a partner. Regardless, from a series-wide perspective, she is extremely talented meriting the nickname Eclair (cf Final Fantasy's Lightning) with an appropriate finisher (and story behind it).
