A good number of characters with a variety of sidequests, and a bunch of different endings available to them. Add a good end game, and two different ways to start the story, and it's definitely my most replayed video game ever. I'll admit that Chrono Trigger was a close contender. While I would rank Suikoden II above them, and Lunar 2/Breath of Fire III/Wild Arms on par with my fav (FFIX), Final Fantasy just has the numbers to take the win. --- "If history is to change, let it change! Zeus lightning and Artemis support fire with the gun's attack can pile up damage rather quickly. I did have triple bomb though, which might be what let my special with lightning still pile on damage quickly. It's definitely a milestone: The CGI cutscenes, the anime-esque plot, introducing the jrpg genre to many who would have never known about it had FFVII not been so popular and prevalent (I wanted a Playstation just for that, and I'd never heard of the Final Fantasy series prior, despite owning and loving stuff like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Phantasy Star IV, etc.) You can't deny how big of an impact it had. You could finish 13 in the time that it takes to finish that one section of DQ 7. And for the record, 13 isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's loads better than the original version of 12. Sure 12 might look more beautiful, but the story for 13 is far better than 12s.It might be a shorter game, and have a faster paced story than 12. But the story is nonsensical compared to 12's, and the enjoyment I'd get out of being forced to play it is negative compared to how I'd enjoy playing DQVII again. --- "If history is to change, let it change!
