Im disappointed the Blank Card + Jera combo is done with this update. Breaking the game is some of the funnest parts of playing.

I know there will be a Rune version of Blank card but I feel itll decrease the chances of a broken game since blank card appears so often.

Get the NPC map locations mod. Really helps when you're trying to hunt someone down. I also like chests anywhere, though it seems a bit cheaty. I just hate having to bail from the mines once my inventory is full

definitely NPC Map locations and Lookup Anything. Anything else Id get later because there is a lot of content in the game and a lot of new things. Its better to experience it all as intended before you get a mod like Automate which will make you get bored fast.

tips:

focus on getting money for the Easter Festival on day 13(I think) of Spring. You can buy Strawberry Seeds for $100 and these are money makers. Especially if you can get some speed gro down first.

Fishing early game is a source of great income.

Animals arent that great to focus on early game unless going for Year 1 clear of the community Centre. If you are, V1.5.2 has an option to force Red Cabbage Seeds in the first year through the traveling merchant.

traveling merchant appears on Fridays and Sundays south of your farm and can sell things you need for the community Centre.

get to floor 120 of the mines ASAP. And always have Copper, Iron and Gold Bars getting made.

upgrade the axe as soon as possible to get Hardwood from the secret forest.

I feel like Nolan decides on specific scenes and filming techniques and writes a story around it.

the reverse stuff was all pretty cool but the film was all over the place.

No, it's pretty bad due to the filler even if you like the series. I know there was some group doing a properly paced edit of the series, but no idea how the quality is or if they're still doing it.

Looks like it's called One Pace, and it is up to date. Might be worth a look if you're otherwise meshing with the series other than the padding.

this. The anime pacing is good at one point and then progressively goes to s***.

One Pace does a pretty good job of making it well paced but they dont have a release schedule so the latest episodes are random when they appear.

if youre talking about the story, I believe youre at the Kuro arc, Arlong Park is where it starts getting great and each arc is pretty much better than the last (until the latest ones).

The Great Crystal in FF12 for its exact same scenery in every screen combined with no map, a confusing layout, gates that need to be opened by pressing a button in another area and then a timed challenge to get to it before it closes.

The Secret dungeon in FFXV as well, the games controls were not designed for the platforming that it required.

Its a 20ish year series with a continual story that has Minimal plot holes. Great characters and emotionally driven plot lines.

its still a shonen but feels like its different in its own way.

my favourite aspect though is how things are hinted at that arent paid off for years and years.

she said she wouldnt come back continuously but getting her back for an episode in the future isnt unrealistic.

and as for never seeing her, Amy had a baby that was mentioned like once in the last two seasons. Its not like the show could just avoid Amy questions or add in A character saying something like are you two even still a thing anymore. Im not saying its the perfect solution, Im not a writer. But the way they handled it was by far the worst option to take.

I sincerely disagree that that would be better. It would prolong the inevitable breakup while lessening the stories impact. It would tie up Jonah's character for however long you would play that out. It would still have an off screen breakup later down the line because America isn't on the show anymore, and I don't see how coming back for a breakup later is better than the breakup right now. The union effort already had essentially failed, and they have even less of a chance of getting it restarted now during the pandemic.

i mean they dont need to break up? You just have Amy come back for 1 episode. It also leaves the door open for her to come back if she ever wanted to. As they left it, the audience will practically despise her and so she will never return.

I get why they did it. This way you feel more on Jonahs side. But if anyone pretends this show wasnt mainly about their relationship they are kidding themselves.

It was. She said at the start of the year that she was leaving. Back before the pandemic hit. I think they handled it as well as they could considering Ben didn't want to leave the show but America did, and their characters were together. I don't think she was even contractually obligated to come back, but did so anyway for proper closure as opposed to just writing their relationship away off camera between seasons. Or killing her off, as some shows have done.

I mean they could have just had Jonah say he decided to stay to see through the Union since that was what he wanted since like season 1 and that hed join Amy when he got that done and in the meantime hed see her on occasion. Its not a great solution but better than what they did.

Dont use expert grid at all. From memory its smaller than beginner so makes stat maxing harder.

Save on the boat after you leave Kilika there is a minigame you can do once that will help later on if you succeed.

Dont worry too much about equipment at all, you can get whatever you need by the end. Some can be helpful but wont make too much of a difference to combat until end game.

make sure you get the secret item from each temple. Youll need to explode a section using a destruction sphere and inside there is a treasure. they arent missable but some get bosses guarding the entrance if you proceed too far in the story.

read these when you get to Bevelle:
look up a guide for the Celestial Mirror asap, especially before Zanarkand. There is a component for an Ultimate Weapon that gets hidden behind a Super Boss in the temple so you need to get it on your first visit.

I dropped it after (season 6 spoilers) the way they handled Amy leaving. It felt like the worst possible way to have her and Jonah break up and came out of absolutely nowhere.

I mean I get it. They needed exclusives and its a good get. So good for Microsoft.

that being said I dont know if its the selling point people think it is. Skyrim was released in 2011 and the only thing for ES6 is a short brief trailer with no gameplay. It could be years before that game comes out and if the console market is the way it is now there is no way Playstation gets it excluded because itll just be lost revenue.

I think the bigger loss is Doom.

I loved the new season. The original series was one of my favourite shows. The movie felt so little like old VM that I didnt have high hopes for season 4. Then it came and it was so good.

Then the ending came and all semblance of care I had was ripped from me and at that point even if there was a season 5 I knew Id never watch it.
