There are many bands I've seen live, you have no idea...but CAKE is the one that got away. Literally the gaping hole on my punchlist. NIN, TooL, Johnny Cash, Buddy Guy. BB King. Metallica. Tool. Slipknot. Manson. 2 dozen others... But CAKE is definitely the band that got away from me. I played bass for a decade. Yeah, I generally don't buy much "modern" stuff and try to get games on the cheap (with the exception of Nintendo titles where it's impossible to get great deals on, so I've paid a bit more than I'd like for Switch games). In the case of the ps4, I bought it in Nov 2019 and for a long time didn't have a ton of dedicated free time or, for that matter, immediate interest in using it. I'd rather play a "complete" or "goty" edition on my laptop with low graphics at ~20fps that I paid ~$20 for than pay full retail at console launch plus being nickle and dimed for dlc and season passes to push 20 hour games ultimate prices up past $100 or more. --- Yes, I'm real. |

I cannot get behind this shit in modern gaming where a half finished product is pushed out the door at full retail, and I get the privelege of paying for the game 2+ times over for the complete game when they get around to pushing out buggy dlc that used to have to be on the disc when it shipped. The games industry have been trying to put the coin slot back on your home console since home consoles took video games out of the arcades. I can't support the current state of gaming. Rockstar milking GTA5 for a decade? Seriously? Fuck modern gaming. Especially on consoles. I'll live with my low spec gaming on a laptop before I pay for a game 2 or 3 times over like my console is a glorified tablet. Gatcha games have no place on a console, yet here we are. Gotta deliver value to the shareholders! --- Yes, I'm real. |
