Man Pilot tiers?

Amuro is one of the best in the UC easily, he gets better as the timeline moves on. The only UC Pilot that is even debatable is Uso from Victory.

Outside of UC there are some pretty good choices out there.

Kira Yamato jumps out right away. A lot of Seed/Destiny pilots are actually pretty outstanding but there is no doubt who is king of the hill over there.
Asemu Asuno is definitely up there too. (With honestly the best set of feats IMO.)
Heero, Zechs and Wufei from the Wing Universe have pretty impressive feats. I think I would give the edge overall there to Zechs but I don't think I would put them above Asemu or Kira.
Then there is also the whole how to you rate Domon or any of the Build Fighters characters like the Meijin.

(Funniest things is Both Kira and Asemu are balantly Amuro inspired in a lot of ways more so than of the other Gundam Protaginasts. Asemu even has the same nickname IIRC. White Devil.)

Nah outside the broken Arm which was Season 3. Dimitri is definitely more in the wrong than Hawk looking at only Season 1 and 2. Dimitri doesn't really do much in Season 3. (Specially compared to Hawk who was a huge asshole to him in S3.) But Hawk definitely wasn't the one escalating their feud. Dimitri did the bulk of that. If it wasn't for the Arm there wouldn't be that much there to hate Hawk for in terms of Dimitri. (Hawk did a lot of other scumbag shit. Attacking Robbie in the tournament injuring him so Miguel would win, flicking popcorn at random people in the movie theater, starting a lot of fights, etc.) But in terms of the Hawk/Dimitri friendship? That is almost entirely on Dimitri.

Nah Hawk's story progression makes sense. There was none of his friends left at Cobra Kai. He was pretty much the last man standing of his friend group.

Miguel? Went to Eagle Fang.
Aisha? moved away.
Dimitri? Hawk tried to be his friend for a long time. It wasn't until Dimitri constantly attacked things he loved (Cobra Kai) and belittled him publicly that he turned on him. Even in season 2 they were teasing that they could still be friends. But he ruined it there.
Mitch? Got kicked out of Cobra Kai.
Bert? Got Kicked out of Cobra Kai.

Then look at characters that Hawk does not like. Kyler is #1 with a bullet. He hates the dude and seeing him beat his friend Miguel was enough for him to finally jump ship.

Antagonist? maybe. I think there are a lot better. He's definitely one of the best characters all around.

Original Gundam is mostly good. There is some definite pacing issues in the middle tho. There is honestly like 5-ish episodes that could be cut and you wouldn't notice. The core story is good and the sideplots are better than the main plot. There is a reason Zeon is very popular for a villain faction.

is this series popular on board 8? world was my first entry into the series.

We've always had like 10-ish people on here who played it. Even as far back as MH3. Names change tho. Series has never really been as big on B8 as it is with like every other gaming community, World was so big tho that I think it has broad casual appeal now.

Azure, SC, CS3 tend to be the 3 most well received I think.

FC and CS2 seem to be the least well received.

That's the general feeling I get online. I agree that most of the series other than maybe CS3 has pacing issues.

He's still pretty good for being fast and kinda good at ATS. IIRC he's pretty much similar stats as Alisa but Alisa gets really good weapon stats since she also gets free ATS from her equipment as well. Still I think he outmages some of the more traditional casters simply because he's got a lot more speed than them. While still having the overall Jusis utility package of Noble Ark/Plat Shield/Treasure Sword/Arts Support 2.

Shame Renne isn't around more. She's so damn good.

The new class 7 get forced into events all the time. It gets kinda annoying in general and makes me like them less.

That being said there was a huge power gap between the guy and girl teams. Hardest fight there was definitely Enea/Ines/Kreuger meanwhile the other fights were stomps.

Yea Jusis, and Fie are definitely the two stand outs of the Original Class VII. I think it's hard to argue that. I think Machias experiences a lot of growth too but he still feels really extra. (mostly due to not really fitting with the theme the rest of OG Class VII has where like 2/3 of the class is directly related to a major player.)

I'm not quite done with CS4 yet. But I think 3 is ultimately my favorite game?

3>1>4>2 I think is how I'll end up feeling maybe 4 above 1.

2 actually had a lot of minor issues. The Shrine section was boring. The triple final dungeon stuff I felt kinda played out in a way that de-escalated the climax of the game. Gameplay balance was likely the worst of the franchise in ways that weren't really that fun or clever to abuse. That Intermission chapter tho. Was maybe one of the best sections of the entire Erobonia arc.

Loadtimes are pretty low on PS4 version. I think PS5 is likely faster still? Feels much shorter loadtimes than CS2 actually somehow. But maybe longer than CS3 which I don't really notice the loadscreens ever. I do notice they exist here.

And yea I get the polished CS2/Ao vibes from CS4 a lot. But I think all 3 kinda feel the same formula.

Yea Fie pretty much is Kurt but instead of her Arcus being x2 Wind/x1 Water it's x2 Wind/x1 Time, she has longer attack range, is faster, is worse at artes, and is much squishier in all defensive stats. They even have the same link abilities.

I still use Kurt a lot honestly. BEHOLD THE VANDER STYLE makes me smile for some reason.

Kurt has a lot of issues honestly. Not really filling a niche in a huge cast is the biggest issue.

He can't be the Way of the Sword character. Game has like 3+ of them playable.
Doesn't get to be the smart guy despite being the canonically smartest new class 7 member. Since Old Class 7 has at least 3 people smarter than him by book smarts and 2 more (1 from each era) that feel smarter than him even if they tested lower.
Doesn't get to be the dual wielder character because the game has like 5 of them.
There are plenty of other serious straight man type characters. Noteably Rean. Which having a straight man main character to play off the more comical characters means Kurt isn't needed at all when Rean is around.
The romance they teased with him and juna in early CS3 doesn't happen so there isn't even that to play off of.

Your left with him dealing with family traditions and the Vander Family in general. That's like everything he has. The other characters from prestigious families are also all more engaging than what he is dealing with.

Gameplay wise he isn't too bad. Very fast, above average stats all around, Fixed Water slots is a little annoying but fixed Wind is pretty good. His crafts are pretty solid (even if 95% of the time your going to be using Rain Slash and Twilight Blades.), his brave order is alright (it was super good in CS3 mid game.) Definitely doesn't stand out outside of his like near best in game availability. Shame his Link Bonuses are pretty much super pigeonholed into being evasion/counter attack based since he is a 1 range unit. I kinda wish he had Art Support or Anger even if it doesn't really fit his character. Would be better for his gameplay.

I think Iowa will handle UNC. I don't think UNC's current team has good chemistry. They just look off. I have to think Bacot will be on Garza. I don't see Bacot handling that very well.

I think Iowa likely wont be truly be an underdog outside of against Gonzaga (if this plays I guess.) for Out of Conference.

I think the Big10 is going to be a real dogfight this year tho. MSU, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, OSU, Maryland are all going to be pretty good. Confident all of those are Tournament teams. I wouldn't put it past Minnesota, Indiana, and Purdue to be able to take it to any of those teams.

Wouldn't be surprised if Iowa had like 6+ losses by the end of the year. Still pretty confident it's a top 10 team.

Gonzaga beat Kansas, WV and Auburn already. No one has that kind of Resume right now.
Baylor has returned a lot of their starters from the previous year and beat Illinois who is definitely one of the best teams out there.

Like who else are you going to say deserves it? Iowa who doesn't have the resume that those two have? (If Gonzaga wins Iowa will likely be #2 anyway and will get another 1 vs 2.)
Michigan State? Their only great win is Duke and they didn't look as good as West Virginia, Kansas or Illinois so far.
Houston? They look pretty good so far but again the resume doesn't match.
Kansas? They already lost to Gonzaga. Altho they still look pretty good.

Season has a lot of cancelled games but I've already seen 2 really fun match ups.

Western Kentucky and Northern Iowa was really good and Kansas/Gonzaga was pretty awesome.

Gonzaga starting 5 is likely all NBA players. (Maybe not Watson. But the other 4 are kinda sure thing at this point.)

Yea that sounds about the same as CS3 then. What is the spell of choice? Is it still Calvary Edge? I'm still pretty early but it's pretty clear Art Support+spell casters is the way to go in general so far. Arts are very much out preforming Crafts early on.

There was a lot of broken stuff in CS3. Sledgehammer+Wind blade, Stacking 4 High tier bells on a mage then using Divine Song (This might actually be the most broken thing in CS3), Jusis/Ash being able to clip thru walls, etc
